This is about the trigger happiness on the kick button some people have. My computer just crashed in a game and I can only assume it killed me as kraken was after me when it crashed. I restart and find I cannot rejoin the game. I can see only one reason (no my computer does not take 5 min to start up) I got a rage quit because it crashed at about the same time as I figure I died. My team was losing and they instantly decided that I wasn't comming back or they just saw their chance to make the other team believe that so they kicked me.
My suggestion here is, if someone DCs he should be immune to kick votes while there is a counter. If the vote was started before he DC'ed; fine let it run.
I've just seen it before, as soon as someone gets a rage quit, the kick votes start, and as often as not the player comes back. What's the point of a reconnect if a majority of the players won't let other players use it?
If he really did rage quit and is not comming back, then just wait the 5 minutes. You must be able to wait 5 min before conceding, if not I guess you just don't feel that strongly about getting that player punished.
