View Full Version : Noob-friendly servers?

I've played about 10 matches now, I believe, on noob only servers, but I always seem to get harassed for my inexperience by more skilled players. Is there a way to filter "true" noob servers? I am getting a bit desperate to get away from all these foul mouthed players, it is ruining what I consider to be a promising game.

Currently the noob filtering is broken. Anyone can join any skill game.
Make a game that says "Beginners only" or "1400 or less" or something of that effect. Then kick those who are not.

I guess the true problem isn't the fact that more skilled, or "non-noob" players are participating, but that they don't accept new players, and keep harassing players who doesn't know much about the game.

Personally, I hate it when players do that. They are so bound by the thought of winning that they join beginner servers just to do so, and when that hope does not turn into reality they blame their teammates and the other team with slanderous remarks. Personally I hate that which is what me and a few others are trying to stop. We are currently trying to start up full in house games to help beginners like you and like all of us at a time to become better.

I have the same harassement feeling in the HoN servers.
I'm playing games for more than 25 years now, and don't remember worst players attitude in any game before this.

This is so true. DotA and HoN has the most foul mouthed players I've ever encountered throughout the years. It's a shame, really.

Well, I can feel you there, I get the hell flamed outta me at times as well, but surprisingly saying "Well, sorry that I am a newb in a noob only game" shuts them up everytime. ^^
