View Full Version : Is lifesteal good on sandwraith?

I've seen a lot of people's builds on sandwraith but none ever seem to include any lifesteal items...Is that a bad item to get on him? Thanks.

I would only get Lifesteal after Shieldbreaker/Nullfire, probably in the form of an Abyssal Skull.

Sandwraith needs to get buff fast and any time/money wasted of Lifesteal is too costly early on.

I never get lifesteal on him. If i want to survive better i would go for survival items any day. In a teamfight with a half brained opponent, you need magic immunity for lifesteal to really work, or you'll just get disabled to death.
Even if i had good survival i would still go for higher dps items over lifesteal. Maybe as my 4:th late game item, but then the game must have dragged on for quite a long time.

ok, thanks. lifesteal always seems to make farming creeps, both neutral and opposing...so much easier...including kong

Mid game, it's excelent to keep farming non-stop without visiting fountain, but that's all it really does. Without survival items you die easely to nukes, and without dps items you can't do anything in teamfights AND farm slower. Late game, when the lifesteal acctually starts to become useful in a real fight, you should never have any hp problems when farming anyway.
A single buckler does wonder when farming to keep your hp up btw. Can later be uppgraded to helm thingy (vanguard) if you need the survivability.

Does that buckler block the damage before or after my armor is applied? Thanks again.

Do you go nullfire before shieldbreaker?

It's applied before armor, so it's still kinda worthless in a team fight, but it's a much smaller investment than lifesteal, and it does not delay your important items as much.

Iron Shield can be a great farming holdover if you are not going to need a Helm of the Black Legion. +6 ias, +6 dmg with a great block as well.

I like to get whispering helm on all of my carries, lifesteal never hurts and it also gives +5 armor.

Thats in dota. In hon, its applied after armor so its much better than its dota counterpart.

Think its applied before dispersion which couldve made it more epic D:

The problem with getting lifesteal on sandwraith is just that theres much better alternatives.
Getting an early mock, diffusal are the 2 basics. I like going HotBL on it as well just because sand wraith has **** hp and i can get it within 7 minutes w/ a decent lane partner.

ah, so it's after armor...wow, that's a decent damage block then...does that mean HOTBL is also after armor? If so, 40hp block after armor is huge
