Hi everyone,
Accounts not purchased from an Official Reseller or directly from S2 are considered to be obtained fraudulently as defined in our Terms of Service. (http://heroesofnewerth.com/tos.php)
Recently we came across some accounts that fall into this category - in 2010 there was a user who found an exploit in the Paypal purchase system which allowed them to cancel purchases without actually paying for them, yet, still allowing them to generate account creation codes. This user then sold and/or gave away the codes for users to create accounts. Paypal recently sent us an audit which helped us investigate this issue further thus leading us to where we are today.
