negative mmr

For some reason, when I got -1 mmr, games wouldn't queue up anymore. Other than the fact that mmr scoring is stupid, is there some reason for this? Before this, all queues had reasonable time and weren't an issue.

Can this be fixed? I don't want to pay to reset my mmr just because of a game issue.

I do not believe that the system was created with negative MMR in mind. However, there is not any reason you shouldn't be able to join matchmaking. I suggest you should on over to support at the link below and contact customer support to have them resolve the issue. While you are there, nicely try and say they should have a bottom MMR limit, that way if you were to get to 0 or so, it would allow you to keep playing. If your CMMR is decent, try playing on that for a bit.
