DreamHack MSI BEAT IT 2011 Heroes of Newerth

This year, MSI BEAT IT will play host to an international Heroes of Newerth tournament with some of the very best teams in the world competing for over $30,000 in cash prizes and $15,000 in hardware prizes. Twelve top teams will be selected through five different international qualifiers, culminating in Jonkoping, Sweden at the DreamHack Winter event where they will clash for their share of the prizes.

As defending DreamHack champions, the Fnatic Heroes of Newerth team will be the first team invited to compete.

In the instructional video all prizes have their converted USD value. Besides if they said it would be 16,000 USD today they could lie since 100,000 SEK doesn't equate to that all the time. Since if this tournament would be a year ago it would only be 13,333 USD. This means that the prize pool could get bigger or smaller at the time of payment.

The qualifiers have $1000 prize though.

Why does everyone think S2 fronts the prize money for a DreamHack tournament sponsored by MSI? Valve is paying for their own tournament because of marketing DotA2, nothing else. If they don't keep injecting money in tournaments like this, the prizes will drop like a stone. There is no way in hell any sponsor would pay that much to get their brand on a tournament.

I am not sure if you realize that Valve is counting on this to make a huge media hit... The biggest prize pool in the history of Esport...

Even Starcraft in Korea that has TV coverage, 100,000s of thounsands of viewers at every game cannot afford those amount of money. I doubt valve will sustain this.

Also, I don't care if they create 1billion$ tournaments of DotA2... we will have to see if the game is any good first... From August 17th till the 21st... it shall be revealed.

it will have cd and after you can copy another abillity but if it will be on the same button it will replaced for exampel you cannot have behemoth firs abillity what have on button Q and myrmidon 1 abillity what have on Q it will replaced but you can have behemoth 1 abillity on Q and myrmidon 2 abillity on W (magic carp) (you cannot have weed field and fissure on the same time because it 1 ability)
The lvl of the abillity it will depends on how many lvl have the oposit hero in this abillity but if you dont have lvl for this abillity then it will give you max possible lvl how you can get when you will skill this abillity from the start ( for example behemoth is lvl 10 and he have fissure lvl 4 and you are lvl 6 so you will get fissure lvl 3)
Effects:
creator will get abillity of any hero in the game just he need to see him then he can use the ultimate

I believe Valve has money to keep up for endless 1mil tourneys, as long as it's for promo purposes (not only considering DotA 2). If a lot of people get interested, they will profit on it when there game is released.
