Channels like in dota. You just go there get a game name, join and you have a kind of filter so you can play with decent players?

Theres no need for it (at least not on the tda level) PSR serves the exact purpose except better (albeit mildly so).

tda wasent made to play against pros, it was made to play against people who dont quit (bc if they do they are banned :)

Bash TDA all you want, I would still argue that the average skill level was higher then in pubs.
To my knowledge HoN League currently has a similar vouching system to avoid parasitic noobs and leavers.

very mildly better than pubs but tda was only designed to keep out leavers.

to give TDA some credit, leavers are the number # problem in dota, HoN, not so much :)
HoN's conceders are DotA's leavers :)

More people left TDA rd/cm games than my pub -cm games. :)
if you think tda was barely better than pubs, then you obviously didnt play real pubs.

I'm not saying TDA was skilled, just that there were less leavers than pubs, that's all.

I found higher skilled players in TDAs than in most of the 1600 and 1700 + games I've played of HoN
