[Gravvlor] The Valiant Hero - (Gravvlor only)
Strength Based Support/Tank

http://i45.tinypic.com/2qc1bw1.jpg

Made this hero a long time ago, back when HoN was a baby, so I decided I would rewrite it all and resubmit him :D

Visual Concept:
Gravvlor is a massive, middle aged man, with little armour, wielding a large battle axe. His arms are lit up with what look like glowing words (from the curse) that are now a part of him. He is an outcast. Dirty and rugged.

Role:
Gravvlor's primary role would be tanking. With little DPS output till late game, his main role would be supporting attacking classes and simply, outlasting other heroes. His large stun and ultimate make him an excellent initiator, while still being able to annoy heroes early game with his cast.

Base Stats:
Strength Based
Str: 23+ 2.4 gained per level (Main Attribute)
Agi: 19+ 1.9 gained per level
Int: 17+ 1.7 gained per level
Attack range: Melee.
Attack speed: 1.5 seconds per attack
Movespeed: 310.

Introduction:
For ages, a fierce battle ranged between a mighty warlock and a small town in the valley. One man rose up to bring the warlocks reign of tyranny to an end. A fight ensued and the warlock eventually fell, but not without these last words, "An eye for an eye". And so the curse was placed...

The idea of this hero is that for every advantage, there is a disadvantage; and for every disadvantage, there is an advantage.

For your viewing pleasure, I have colour coded the benefits and the disadvantages.

+Teal means positive
-Pink means negative

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spell 1 - Hex of Vengeance

http://i49.tinypic.com/34j870g.jpg

Active

On the fateful day Gravvlor destroyed the warlock, he found strewn across the cave floor this scroll. Upon the scroll was inscribed six words: "Your strength will be your downfall!"

Animation: Gravvlor raises his hand up into the air, clenches his fist (which becomes red and glowly) and swipes downwards.

When cast on an enemy, for every point of damage the target deals (including spells), the target takes X% damage, but gains X% back in mana from the damage dealt he deals during the duration of the effect. This can also be cast on allies for the same effect.

Damage taken/Mana returned increases when leveled up. 5 second duration.

Level 1 100 Mana/45s CD - 15% damage dealt out by target, dealt to target, while 5% of damage dealt restored as mana to target.
Level 2 125 Mana/35s CD - 20% damage dealt out by target, dealt to target, while 10% of damage dealt restored as mana to target.
Level 3 150 Mana/25s CD - 25% damage dealt out by target, dealt to target, while 15% of damage dealt restored as mana to target.
Level 4 175 Mana/25s CD - 30% damage dealt out by target, dealt to target, while 20% of damage dealt restored as mana to target.

This spell would be cast at the beginning of a fight on AGI/STR heroes with small mana pools, as the mana back would be have the least effect, and also because their damage output (AGI) is the highest.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spell 2 - Heroic Charge

http://i48.tinypic.com/a3gkd1.jpg

Active

Gravvlor charges toward an area over X seconds with no thought in mind for his own safety.

Animation: Gravvlor points his axe in the direction he is charging, and charges in that direction, ripping up the ground behind him.

All damage is reduced by 75% while charging. When Gravvlor hits the target enemy, the enemy takes X amount of damage, is stunned for X seconds and is knocked back 100 yards. Gravvlor is also stunned for X seconds.

Range/Damage/Stun Durations/Charge time increase as leveled up.

Level 1 140 Mana/25s CD - 1 second charge, 400 yard charge, 100 yard AOE, 100 yard knockback, 75 damage, 2 second stun.
Level 2 155 Mana/25s CD - 1.5 second charge, 550 yard charge, 110 yard AOE, 100 yard knockback, 150 damage, 2.5 second stun.
Level 3 170 Mana/25s CD - 2 second charge, 700 yard charge, 130 yard AOE, 100 yard knockback, 225 damage, 3 second stun.
Level 4 185 Mana/25s CD - 2.5 second charge, 900 yard charge, 140 yard AOE, 100 yard knockback, 300 damage, 3.5 second stun.

This is Gravvlors combat move that could be used to initiate group fights. The long stun would be very effective in group fights, easily disabling opponents from range, while being balanced as Gravvlor is also disabled for a time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spell 3 - Hero's Pounding Heart

http://i46.tinypic.com/2wdsl84.jpg

Passive

Gravvlor rose up and challenged the warlock when noone else would. His heart is stronger, and he fears little. Unfortunately living with a heart so big has it's downsides.

Animation: Gravvlor leaves a trail of blood behind him. More blood as this move levels.

Gravvlor has increased health regeneration and decreased stun duration. Unfortunately he loses movement speed.

HP/s, Stun duration increase while Movement speed decrease per level.

Level 1 - 2HP/s and 10% stun duration decrease. -5 Movement speed.
Level 2 - 4HP/s and 20% stun duration decrease. -10 Movement speed.
Level 3 - 6HP/s and 30% stun duration decrease. -15 Movement speed.
Level 4 - 8HP/s and 40% stun duration decrease. -20 Movement speed.

This ability relates directly to Gravvlor's second ability in terms of stun reduction allowing him to get the jump on his opponents while they still remain stunned. This also improves Gravvlor's tanking abilities.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spell 4 Ultimate - Defy All Odds

http://i50.tinypic.com/2itsjmp.jpg

Active/Passive

As Gravvlor did once before, he rises up in a time of fear and defy's all odds by somehow coming out on top.

Animation: Gravvlor falls down onto the ground seemingly defeated, then propping himself off himself up, he swipes his axe and casts Hex

When Gravvlor's health drops below 25%, current level Hex of Vengeance (Spell 1) is cast on all enemies within X yards. Gravvlor gains X% base health back and gains X% damage. He also gains back all the movement speed he was losing due to Hero's Pounding Heart. Unfortunately for Gravvlor, he loses all mana. The beneficial effects Gravvlor's gains last for 10 seconds. Hex range, health restore and damage increase per level.

Level 1 All Mana/4m CD - 400 yard Hex Range, 35% base health back and 25% damage increase.
Level 2 All Mana/3m CD - 500 yard Hex Range, 55% base health back and 50% damage increase.
Level 3 All Mana/2m CD - 600 yard Hex Range, 75% base health back and 75% damage increase.

His ultimate is, I feel, quite powerful. Coupled with Heroic Charge, Gravvlor would theoretically be able to jump into the middle of the fight, tank, trigger his ultimate, use Hex of Vengeance on himself to gain back mana and charge again, while at the same time, heroes in the vicinity, while not necessarily being damaged by Gravvlor are damaging themselves for what would be a very sizable amount of damage in endgame.

What are your thoughts? I tried to make his moves good in combination with eachother. Gravvlor can't really help allies out a great deal in most respects. He provides a large stun and reasonable tanking capabilities with his ultimate, but no heals or much damage. Hex of Vengeance may look like a bit of an outlier with this hero, but i felt he needed some kind of move that allowed him to scare away a hero from range.

Also, apologies for my lack of ability in regards to the icons I made. I am no artist :D

Anyways, love to hear what you think of this hero.

He has a hellbourne appeal in his look.

Also. We has no axe wielders for hellbourne So why give them ANOTHER? (By the way I mean two handed axe wielders so all those ready to say chronos shush.) I also like it.

Also :madm: + :legi: ?

Thanks for the feedback. I don't mind which team he went on, I just loved the idea of give and take hehe. His model could of course be changed to suit. The difference between this guy and the other is that he is completely unarmoured.
