View Full Version : hotkeys and mouse problem
I'm just curious if anyone else has this issue. If I'm pressing the mouse button to move I cannot also hit a hotkey on my keyboard to activate something (ie enh marchers)...instead i have to stop clicking the mouse then hit the hotkey...but sometimes it's hard to do if i'm trying to run through trees and need the constant mouse button clicked.

Shouldn't really be a problem.
Maybe try binding your item keys to something like 1,2,3,4?
hmmm....maybe it's just my brand of keyboard/mouse. i have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.
i tried rebinding to something else but it still poses the same problem

I have this problem as well. Logitech G5 mouse and keyboard here.

Yeah, I also have this problem. Sometimes it's really annoying to activate Enhanced Marchers when running away. I didn't think even for a while it would be a hardware problem, I thought it was more like a ingame issue. Does anyone really know the cause of the problem?

..well, not holding it down but close to it since i'm continually clicking it quickly to move around trees to chase or escape.

Hell yes it is annoying!...I can't stand it. I'm not sure if it's the game or our hardware. Oddly when I go into practice mode and try it it seems fine...but when i'm in battle in multiplayer it doesn't seem to work well. I posted this in the troubleshooting forum as well but no one ever replied.

It's in the options section of the game. You can set "hot keys" for various things.
Hi TreeHorse and Heridshire...I was wondering if you two ever solved this problem. I still have to deal with it and it drives me crazy!

It sounds, to me, like an input issue. It's likely your motherboard/keyboard.
For example: With an older keyboard you can only simultaneously hit two or three keys. Newer keyboards go up to 6 or 7 simultaneous keys.
I'm using a G15 keyboard and have never had this problem. I've also broken two G7 mice but I've never had an issue with hitting multiple keys at once. I know because I mash keys on various games like I have a twitch. Right now I'm using a dell mouse along with my G15 keyboard.

Thanks...maybe i'll have to shell out for another keyboard, mouse combo...i was hoping that there was another solution...The odd thing is that it seems to work for me when I play in practice mode, but not work for me when I play in a normal game against other people (but it could be my imagination)
