What works and how and what does not







Introduction
Bubbles take cover ability can pretty much dodge every incoming attack if timed correctly. A good bubbles player can utilize this to his advantage.

But there are a few abilities that it will work better against if being put on autocast. In this post I will therefore address all the abilities that does have some sort of effect on bubbles, if take cover being on autocast. It might be direct damage, or it might be damage over time, slow, silence, etc. Take a note of these and learn them.

Every other spell not mentioned in this post his auto take cover does protect him from.

The 'guide' is a bit lengthy but cannot really be shortened more than to the below rule of thumb.

General rule of thumb
Every ability that does damage usually triggers his take cover. Unless they provide a stun and/or a silence. But he will always usually get the effect from the spell.



Heroes
Do pay attention that every time I type '(% damage)' then bubbles does take cover and will not get any initial damage but will get the effect of the spell.

*For some reason this does not work in practice mode. A hellborne Ophelia will teleport a legion bubbles to her fountain.
Neutral and passive Ophelia will do nothing but attract aggro.
A Legion Ophelia will teleport a legion bubbles to her fountain.

Finishing words
People probably won't need this 'guide' for a whole lot but I needed to know what worked with bubbles. And I'm sorry if other guides of the same is already made.

So Pyro's ult doesn't trigger the autocast? I haven't used bubbles very much, but I see it against enemy bubbles when I do a single target spell and it's on autocast, it basically shells him up and my cast doesn't actually take place. Most of the time it stops them from running away and I just use my spell when they get out of take cover. If you could please explain the mechanics of it in English that is easier to understand....

Pyro's ulti does trigger it.
I might not have made it very clear but all the spells mentioned are spells that somehow goes through his auto cast take cover, if not dealing damage then it deals the effect of the spell, like slow or damage over time. Every other spell I haven't mentioned his auto take cover does protect him from:
