View Full Version : Looking for teammate/mentor

Essentially, I'm hoping to find some good folks that are fun to play with as well as pretty skilled.
I've been floating between 1600-1650 for a while and it really feels like it's coming down to the fact that I'm constantly pubbing and getting terrible teammates far too often. (How do .5 KD 40% win ratio players even get 1650+???? seriously)
While I'm not the best, I'd like very much to find a few other folks to play with consistently. If you're a "nerd rager" or give up quickly and easily then don't bother contacting me :P
If you have any interest feel free to look me up on:
Xfire - Marzyn or
in game - Abandon
Thanks much

Please consider using the mentor/apprentice program mentioned in the sticky posts at the top of this forum.

I thought about it but decided it didn't quite apply to what I wanted. Also, the list link didn't work for me When you click on the link it takes you a google forms page.

So you're saying it worked perfectly.

Well, no, it either goes to "Google Docs" or it sits on a white page constantly trying to load (i assume) a spreadsheet.
You had said in your post that the link was going to quit working soon so I figured that the link had, in fact, quit working :P

If you read that, then you're looking at the wrong post.

Frankly deny, your mentoring program is extremely confusing for a new player to work with.
EDIT: Reason being that there is three different posts, two of which are out-dated. On top of that, there is no link for application in the apprentice section, so someone can be looking for it for a good 10 minutes before realizing there is another post below with the links.

I only see two outdated posts, not three. The third one was a redirect, but it's gone now. The second one is going away as well (as soon as I am done restructuring the stickies). That one clearly says (Old) by it though.
As far as the links go, I can definitely put links to the apprentice application in there but it says, "If you have any questions, please PM me". I'm trying to help people learn the game, not be competent in a language. If you can't help yourself, how am I supposed to help you?
Obviously this wasn't directed at you personally, just the general idea that the system is difficult. It's really not.

Maybe difficult was the wrong word. For somebody just starting to learn, that post is a little bit overwhelming. I appreciate the effort, but maybe if it were organized differently it would be easier?
I hate saying this without a suggestion to improve, but I'm frankly not very good at making things more user-friendly. However, I did feel rather overwhelmed reading it.

That I can see. It's still new. I'm working to make it a stronger system.
Also, I have created a new clan for training people. I'll be going into detail with a new thread shortly. It should help resolve a lot of this.
