Anyone else seeing Magebane every game

Anyone else seeing Magebane is every game they play (even non AP) he seems to have become the new FOTM hero that idiots pick to level PSR. I dunno maybe I'm just paranoid but he seems to have reversed roles with Scout except where Scout was easily counterable Magebane is moreorless

I'm seeing the same thing. I'm noticing it especially because I'm one of those people picking him every game AP or SD because he's just so darn fun to play! Surely some picking is a result of noob-ism, thinking he's better than he actually is, or thinking you're really good with him because you never die. But for me and hopefully most people picking him he's just a blast to play as, and is now a worthwhile member of a team instead of a drag.

Magebane is so good in team ganks now. And his blink aura gives the team alot of magic to counter heroes like TB, Plague rider.

I have seen Magebane almost all the time....

Like my brother; KeN_13- Once he played as Magebane, he keeps using him for like 3 games in a row. Maybe he will use him next time ...

I saw him once, and he was ****ing hard to kill when i was TB. I dropped all my nukes on his ass and not even half health gone. This is with staff of the master baiter as well.

We were raping there ass's until they backdoored our tree of life, there only creep wave was with us in there on base. not a fair GG tbh. i feel a ruleneeds to be made, if no creep is within distance then you cant attack that structure?

Hes pretty hard to take down without a team of disables/stuns at least 3

It seems like Magebane got much much stronger, did he get a buff? And yes I seem him 98% of EM games I play... He's annoying.

Absolutely dominates EM games. It's not even slightly challenging to play him. No, he's not invincible, but if you use your brain just a little bit, the only challenge to getting a high score is making sure you don't win too fast.

Not excessively, although a lot more often than before. Still no match for Magmus and Arachna, though. I have at least one of them pretty much every game, although I mostly play SD.

Since last patch I've been converted to magebane and I play him almost every game now. As #2 says, he is immense fun to play - awesome glaive, order responses like "your mana is mine" and attack animation and a blink.

Last patch I saw him quite a bit, this patch only twice has someone picked him before me. I play AP, non EM.

I often pick magebane, because with geomancer is my favourite hero. But I started playing him 3 years ago... ;)
He's picked more frequently now, I noticed too; it's true. But it's true too, that 80/90% of people getting him, are not able to play him correctly. And they miserably fail... :D
After 3 years of Dota and almost two months of Hon beta, i still see people who buy brutalizer as second or third item and don't consider soulscremer... :lol:
When i see that, i think:"Ok, 4vs5... GG". ;)

Magebane here in Hon (and Antimage in Dota) is one of the most difficult hero to play; because he extemely depends on items and because you must take the exact time to do anything.

Although I see scout more often then Magebane. Most annoying lame weak hero I've ever seen.

I have been seeing him quite a bit in pub games (em and non em). Played wildsoul yesterday and had brutalizer on him and boboo and absolutely dominated magbebane since he couldnt blink away while i bashed on him. I think I had 3 or 4 kills just on him. Good times when you can smash on an overplayed hero like mb, scout or arac.

Same, and I bloody HATE it. GG bringing in a carry that's nearly impossible to kill without at least three stuns and has a ridiculous manaburn.

If you don't think it's ridiculous, have you ever tried Geomancer's on him? Say hello to at least 400 mana lost per second...
