Having said that, time to get back ontopic.
Pretty cool to see some item additions and changes. Although there are still some heroes that need the nerfbat (*cough* Amun-Ra *cough*) or some loving, like Balphagore and Dampeer, I'm sure those changes will eventually be made.

But i'm not totally sure what exactly got changed to Astrolabe for example. Would it be possible to list the old stats as well, so we could easily see what numbers are changed/removed?

Good job. Since 2.0.20 I believe, I havn't been able to patch. Everytime I want to patch, I need to uninstall HoN and install HoN again from HoN website (since the new patch is included).

I've tried the Windows 95 backdoor (it has only worked once. Gj), I've tried Hon_update.exe (doesn't work either). I'm getting tired of this.

And the important thing - I'm not lonely about this problem.

So good job, making a patch, which you can't update too.

It means the graphical effect of the nullstone is different, means you can see a blue aura around the hero if its not on cooldown.


Im not so keen on the itemchanges, it pretty much means armor is harder to get now. the only early armor items left are plated greaves and ring of the teacher... maybe they should introduce a new armoritem as well..

I had this problem, somebody suggested earlier in the thread to launch the game with windows 95 compatibility to update the game and it worked. However games were taking a long time to load and it'd lag every time I opened the shop. I uninstalled the game and now I'm unable to re-install it for some reason, keep getting error messages.

Where are the patches for OS X and Linux? On OS X, the game asks if I want it to patch itself, but then nothing happens after I approve. The first posting in this thread only links to a Windows binary which leads me to believe you didn't publish the patch for all platforms yet? If so, why not just wait with the Windows patch until all are finished?

I'm curious if the math was done between Riftshards and Shieldbreaker, I can't see any way that the latter could win unless huge amounts of ally damage is taken into account.

Astrolabe: +5 armor + 50 AOE heal + AOE armor > +3 str + 593 gold
RoS: +2 armor + 90 gold > +3 str

Both nerfs in my opinion.

Energizer = boost over 5 seconds every 45 seconds for 100 mana that requires pathing that also helps nearby allies
Tablet of Command = boost instantly every 16 seconds for 25 mana that can also jump uphills and be used on distant allies or enemies as well as disjoint and cancel spells

This item is outstripped by ToC in every aspect.

I thought that Energizer was a decent buff to melee carries. Pop it in teamfights, melee carry activates shrunken and can stay on target better with 50extra ms? Harder to kite someone with +50ms, and possibly ghost marchers activated as well.

Thou this might only seem good in theory, any thoughts?

Really good patch. I like how it works for supports to get an starting item like Fortified/Talisman/Soulscream and then upgrade it to an valuable teamfight item. It would maybe be great if i could do an energizer or Ring of Sorcery out of a Fortified as well, cause as an int you mostly want that extra HP as long as you carry the basicitem.

Hey played 5 games with energizer and for 1700 gold having a aoe 50% ms increase is alright and if you get a slow on you its useless, so i think it should take off ms debuff when activated.... and u might be well thats op... having 50% ms incrase for 5 secs with a cd of 35 secs is crap when you get a debuff that screws it up. decrease the cd or give that item a ms debuff remover otherwise no one will pay 1700 for shitty support item

Interesting new item though i cant see it being too useful or even picked up much at all..
I'm pretty sure they're support items, as supports are usually the ones who pick up bracers anyway. (not sure about the soul scream ring item or the talisman one though). they basically made the ring of sorcery and astrolabe easier to build up on supports. the speed boost can be useful, but only in really organized teams.

If you compare energiser with ancient jangoo of endurance in DotA, jangoo is WAY WAY better.

ENERGIZER

costs 1700

gives +7 to all stats, +3 agi

activation gives 50 ms and unitwalking
for 5 sec, 45 sec cd, 100 manacost

ANCIENT JANGOO OF ENDURANCE

costs 1750

gives +9 to all stats, + 10 dmg

activation gives 10%ms AND 10%AS
for 6 sec, 30 sec cd, no manacost, 4 charges

has a passive 5% ms and as aura



At least give energizer a passive movespeed aura effect. It is way to weak as it is right now. It definately needs a buff, but the idea is nice.

I want to Patch form 2.0.36 to 2.0.38. HoN is downloading the patch, but if it starts the patching process, HoN crashes. Everytime.

Give the energizer a 3.5 outta 5. Needs more int for it to be viable. Right now, I get 93 exta mana from it - and it costs 100. Not worth it. You also need a slow to be able to make it work effecticvley.

Where are the patches for OS X and Linux? On OS X, the game asks if I want it to patch itself, but then nothing happens after I approve. The first posting in this thread only links to a Windows binary which leads me to believe you didn't publish the patch for all platforms yet? If so, why not just wait with the Windows patch until all are finished?

Sorry, my fault. I was running HoN from a bad backup that I had previously created, in which the permissions were ****ed up, so the updater wasn't allowed to write into the App's directory. A quick `sudo chown -R myuser HoNFolder` fixed it.

That said, there should be some kind of popup or notification if the update can't be written to disk.

Did anyone notice a rollback?? I mean i bought the game for 2 friends. It worked fine for them but we could not play because of the maintenance so we loged off. I got 1000 gold for refering them. HoN was down from DDoS or w/e the entire weekend and instead of S2 saying that HoN would be down for a day they said, they are "working on the problem and will keep the HoN community informed on progress".
