Hey everyone, I going to use this thread to get ahold of and keep in touch with teams in the [HL] tournament. I'm trying to 'map out' the future coverage of this tournament so here is what I am looking at so far...
Round 1: Already covered the best matchup I could find, the other options are mostly going to be hugely lopsided. Possible remaining candidates include...
i LOVE YOU(143) vs Fat controllers
Pokerstars vs Cyneski
These are just teams that we either know are good or expect to be good, playing mostly unknowns. If you have yet to play your game and you have it scheduled at least a day or two in advance, LET ME KNOW.
Round 2: My ideal candidate so far is easy.
Team Bromance(QuC) vs Suave Gaming(smf)
then possibly
Face your Fear vs Pokerstars
I know, because I am in the know, that there is a buzz about some of the upcoming teams, and one of them is pokerstars. I also know that FyF isn't a bunch of randoms have a sense of competitive HoN.
Both are well known and competitive teams.
Aside from that, again, if you know your team is good and you want your game casted then let me know. This obviously requires that we work together and schedule together, at lest 2-3 days in advance!
If you know I am interested in casting your match, I shouldn't have to ask you when you schedule your match, just INFORM ME when you know!
Aside from that, just let me know, even if I don't seem interested, there is harm in trying!

Apparently it's still work in progress and I don't think there is any other option. I found the stream quality to be either really good or really bad at times. Hopefully they work the stability issues out. And Mob we have already seen FFS play a few times I realllly want to see pokerstars and clanclan play even if they are playing unknown teams.

I want to keep this on topic guys, thanks.
@MobZombie
I am aware of those teams and their players, but they don't have any decent matches till round 3, and this topic is ONLY regarding rounds 1 and 2, thanks tho. :)

Yeah e-rev's player is very terrible from what I've found, there was no way to even tell what's wrong because it's through Silverlight or whatever which has no way to view or change settings. I tried to watch the cast later and anytime I skipped the whole video locked up for good.
That's not going to work. =o

I've personally had no problem watching archived videos. Haven't caught a live stream yet though. When are rounds 1 and 2 going down? What timezone?

www.honleague.com (http://www.honleague.com) for their tournament information hankypanky.
I also have never had problems viewing the archived videos.

i don't even have silverlight and it works, i have a feeling you guys are using micro$oft's fail browser instead of firefox

I'm on Firefox. It works (slowly), but if I skip it crashes completely.
Even if I'm not on IE, I'm forced to use Microsoft's fail video player... so that might have something to do with it. -.-

Strange, I'll check with the e-rev Dev team to see if there is something else they can use, or modify what they have to be better.
We at HoN League want to provide the best coverage of our events possible, and I believe e-rev is the best option.
@ E-Rev, a few posts up Clan_Clan is one to watch for just for names sake, Loda (Ex-SK, now fnatic) is registered on that team.
And yes, it's the real loda, aka lodalicious ;)

Yeah I think the fact that Loda is playing alone will be enough to draw plenty of attention. Stomps are fun to watch sometimes too.
FFS is probably the best HoN team around, even though we haven't seen Pokerstars and other DOTA teams compete.

PLEASE please buy better quality mics asap.
The quality makes my ears bleed, at the very least dont have the mics so close to your mouths so it distorts and dont shout.

I agree your sound quality is TERRIBLE. Makes it painful to listen to. Please sort it out.
Video quality is OK.

I dont know if you have heard of them, but quadv.com gives a good example of what casting should be like. Unfort they dont have any hon / dota casts, but their wc3 / quake / cod / css shoutcasts are really topclass. A good example to aim at.
Please check out http://www.gamestah.com/ for how to shoutcast dota games. Tobi does the best dota shoutcasting and actually has game knowledge. The E-rev guys say to many dota names, dont anaylse/comment on players items, bad camera control. Sometimes the commentator is commenting a lane that the camera isn't even on.
Not having a go at them, i dont know if they have experience shoutcasting DOTA games but take a look at the gamestah ones shoutcasted by tobi. If you could do it like that, it would be amazing.

Well, asking from them to be like tobi is a bit too much at this stage :D
