Gladiator's Pit
This is a 2v2 or 1v1 map.
There are no neutral creep,
No Base,
No Towers,
No Runes,
Just pure Action!
The idea is that the game is won by having a certain amount of hero kills.
This will be ajustable before the game begins.

I will test your map when I am at home.
Btw. If you want I can add you a oldschool wc3 like vote at
the beginning to set max kill number.
Oldschool like: You walk with a unit/hero into a circle to vote.

ye sure that would be great!
if u could make 2 spots in the Well for 25 and 50 kills, i think that would be good right? can always be changed.

Download the .zip archive and follow the instructions.
IMPORTANT: Before changing anything, backup the whole map file!

Instruction (can also be found in readme.tx)
What you need to do:
Paste the folders "custom_scripts", "shared" and "buildings" into your resources folder
of your map. If you don't have a "resources" folder in your map, create one.
Now you have to start the map editor. Load your map, select "Entities" on the left side,
use the "Create" Mode to spawn new entities. Open the console (CTRL + F8) and type in:
"le_entitytype Gadget_Game_Settings" Close the console (CTRL + F8) and left click at the
place you want this entity to be (note: do not change any settings in the entity properties)
It should appear a small teacup or so. Don't worry models will be applied ingame.
Now you continue by selecting the next entity (like the one above).
You need to place this entities:
Gadget_Game_Settings - 1 x at the center of the map for example, it will not be seen.
Gadget_Game_Setting_A - 1 per faction, so 1 in legion well at one corner and one in the
equal corner in the hellbourne well, this gadget will be seen
(model like a rune)
Gadget_Game_Setting_B - 1 per faction, so 1 in legion well at one corner and one in the
equal corner in the hellbourne well, this gadget will be seen
(model like a rune)
Important: let enough distance between the setting A and B!
When you are done, save your map and close the editor. Now open your mapfile with
winrar (or win7 or whatever you use) and edit the entitylist with your notepad
(notepad ++ or Wordpad). Each <entity ... /> represents a entity in your map.
Search for the following one and edit their names:
<entity ... name="" ... type="Building_HellbourneBase"></entity> --> name="Hellbourne_Base"
<enitiy ... name="" ... type="Building_LegionBase"></entity> --> name="Legion_Base"
<entity ... name="" ... type="Gadget_Game_Settings"></entity> --> name="Game_Settings"
<entity ... name="" ... type="Gadget_Game_Setting_A"></entity> --> name="Game_Setting_A_L"
<entity ... name="" ... type="Gadget_Game_Setting_A"></entity> --> name="Game_Setting_A_H"
<entity ... name="" ... type="Gadget_Game_Setting_B"></entity> --> name="Game_Setting_B_L"
<entity ... name="" ... type="Gadget_Game_Setting_B"></entity> --> name="Game_Setting_B_H"
Now save the file and you are done. At the beginning of your map each team will found 2 runes
in their well, one is for 25 and one for 50 kills. Walking next to one will let you vote for
it and apply a endless stun to you until the vote time of 30 seconds expire or everybody did
vote. At the end of the vote when the settins are applied the runes in the wells are removed.
Note: They only have the model of a rune, they aren't real runes.
If you don't get it to work you can send me your map and I will add do it for you.

@Volko: The Dots will not occur ingame, they are the markers where hero spawns,
lane creep path marker and lane creep spawner.

I really like the idea of a death match.
Here are some of my thoughts: (Brainstorming)
1) Some heroes are much stronger or weaker with neutrals around, so maybe having creeps that do less dmg to hero's or/and dont give gold/xp.
2) All heros get same xp, gold per min, allowing them to build up, make choices based on whether they want to be stronger now or later. This idea revolves around x number of kills needed to win.
3) Maybe still have a shrine so that hero's cannot hide forever while trying to get there next item (based on 2)
4) Each game starts with upgraded courier.

I'm considering to make some kind of omg-wtf mode, I don't know the exact name. Everytime you use an ability you'll get a random new HoN ability when the cooldown is done. Every ability slot will have its own 10 to 20 cool spells the system will choose from. The first ability slot will contain damage spells, the second will contain cc spells, the third will be a utility spell (like blink or so) and the other is for some cool ultimates.
The fun part will be that you never know what your enemies can throw at you, and the cooldowns will be short but reasonable.
And no lazy herp derp passives.
I talk and talk but here's the clue : is it okay if I use this awesome arena map for this project ?
