me and my friends run 2v2s or 3v3s alot and there are so many cheesy heroes that we always have trouble with like scout, arachna, predator, and magebane. what are some good strats/ideas/heroes that can counter or help us win against them?

arachna can be countered by fighting back. Too many people run like hell when they see here instead of nuking her hard.
scout, get barbed armor, bound eye, etc.
magebane, well, um, yeah, hmm. Nothing comes to mind. Stuns work well. OOOH! Totem of Kuldra! Polly is good against him (root/silence and morph).
predator, just make sure you can survive his leap+slowdown. Then run.

Magebane is best beat by breaking him early. You'll need a disabler or someone with a silence and just gank, gank and gank. Also lane a ranged hero against him if you can, the less creepkills he gets the better.
While this is a very generic "How to deal with agility late game heroes" advice, it's probably the best you can do. Aside from disabling him as much as possible during teamfights, there's not a whole lot that works if he has had time to freefarm.
The single best hero to counter him is probably Succubus, with her disables and Smitten, she can pretty much put him out of the fight long enough for him to not matter. Also, assuming Heartache works like Bane Elemental's Brain Sap in DotA, it goes through magic armor.
Edit: Additionally, Succubus can easily kill Magebane alone if she has Puzzlebox; Mesmerize, use Puzzlebox, ultimate, have your minions beat on him and use their manaburn and finish off with Heartache if necessary.
Scout goes down quite easily to Dust/Wards.
Arachna is incredibly powerful 1v1 but becomes less effective in team-fights where you can concentrate fire on her.
Predator is a rather poor hero for farming, particularly in the early game and so can be dominated quite quickly. Just keep your last-hitting and denying skills up.
Magebane is easier to counter than Pred, arguably. He is a poor farmer and he is very squishy. Deny and harass him to keep him away from your farm.

Succubus is pretty good in 2v2 3v3 matches for CC of the cheapo heroes

Blood Hunter with dust does good against scout.

Jeraziah usually counters everything in 2v2/3v3.

Magebane: Pretty much the most OP hero right now, there is no really good counter for him. Mostly just choose non-mana heroes (strength). Late-game he can easily become unstoppable.
Scout or Nighthound: Legionnaire or Pestilence can destroy them both. Since they are meant to stealth and run away if they're in trouble, Legionnaire saving his taunt and using it makes them come out of stealth and have to wait for their cooldown again. Pestilence is pretty much the same thing, except he uses impale when they go into stealth, stunning them and hopefully setting them up for a gank.
Arachna: Although Succubus isn't the perfect counter for Arachna, she's the best one available. Basically Succubus' disables stop Arachna from using her ult and dropping people. Coupled with damage-characters or other disables, Arachna is pretty much nerfed with Succubus (with others).
Predator: Disables - Glacius, Tempest, Demented Shaman, Succubus, etc. Even characters that slow are useful against Predator (Arachna and Plaguerider).
If you want to counter Nighthound, play Legionnaire with bound eye, he will never kill you, or even get you below 80% health. Scout is similar but more of a threat. If your against scout, dust might be better.

Magebane's attack animation more than makes up for his lack of farming abilities.
I can last-hit like a mofo every game I play MB.
Having said that, when you see someone pick magebane, don't pick int heroes, and gank him early. He'll be useless late-game.

Sigh...
Pick something like Defiler, Scout, Blood hunter, etc. You want heroes with a decently long silence. Your other option is to pick Electrician or Polywog, or other similar heroes who can keep him in one place.
Essentially you need to either kill him before he can blink, or kill him right after his blink while it's on cooldown.
Blood hunter is very strong against Magebane because you can Hemorrhage him to get him low, then silence him once he's low enough that the extra damage won't kill you.
No hero is unstoppable. Magebane isn't even close to overpowered, he's slightly above average, but he's closer to balance than most heroes.

Keep ganking them early game so they can't farm their items. Once heroes like Scout, Arachna, Magebane have farmed enough they are near unstoppable, early game they are really weak

The most important thing is to establish a strong lane that doesn't allows these heroes to get "big". Without items, all the heroes you listed are worthless. This means that you want heroes who can shut down the lane and stop the other team from farming.
It's less about the heroes you play "endgame" and more about how you get there. Examples;
Pestilence (Stun/Flight) + Demented Shaman (Entangle/Heal): Slow -> Stun -> Heal, Demented can out right click most people his his insane int gain, let Pesti farm.
Hammerstorm (Stun/Stats or Galvanize) + Pyromancer (Stun/Wave): Hammer Toss -> Pyro Stun -> Pyro Wave, at level five this is almost a guaranteed kill.
Succubus (1 Sleep/ Nuke/Stats) + Valkyrie (Stun/Nuke/ 1 Leap): Sleep -> Arrow -> Couple of right clicks = dead.
These are combos that shut down the lane, meaning that it makes it very difficult for the players you are facing to farm XP or gold. Endgame heroes are pointless if the game is over before they have farmed.

If he were closer to balance than most heroes he wouldn't be above average :x
However, late-game with normal farm and no feed, Magebane still molests all other heroes and is practically unkillable if you don't play dumb.

Funny like how all the newb advices show up: omg he picked magebane we lost! or don't pick intel, omg he's got magebane.
There's all the reason in the world to pick intel heroes vs magebane. Early harass, nukes, disables, will render him useless. In team fights, he's 0 unless it's min 45 and he has a bloodbath :)
This is like the pubbie scare of Magina all over again :) Everyone knows he's one of the weakest heroes (in a real 5-5 game with people that know how to play) in team fights, has no aoe, no disables, and no easy way to farm. Hell in pro games, almost nobody picks him anyway.

To counter Jeraziah, Dark Lady. Her Darkblades will go through the Repel, And the charge is useful for it as well. Just remember to get Life steal so that you will survive.
The most effective way of countering arachna is using polly in my opinion, since you can perma-disable early on

Yeah, agree with Valentin.
Some "noob" advices came up. I think no pick would make a difference if you play worse than your enemies, get ganked, get outfarmed, make wrong decisions. Otherwise, there are plenty of strategies you could use to win games, including picking INT heroes in order to harass so they can't farm.
So what you have to be is coherent. If they pick 3 agi heroes, you can't let them farm, can't let them have items. Or your team can pick 3 agi dpser's heroes and outfarm them. Or you can pick 3 AOE heroes and just push every lane fast, destroy towers fast, get money fast, and buy kuldra's fast. OR you can use legionnaire + barbed armor and let him kill himself. OR you can use invisible heroes yourself and just backdoor and run. Various choices make this game very rich and enjoyable.
Try having 3 nuker's against arachna. You can kill her in 2 seconds. If they have silence, gank whoever has silence first then kill her. Against DPSers in general, there's only one rule, don't let them farm. How you will do that is your choice.

Succubus wins 2v2's and 3v3's. FACT.
When you can change a battle from a 3v3 to a 3v2 or 3v1, you are winning the game hands down.
Smitten their highest dps, that lacks a direct disable, one opponent becomes relatively useless.
Mesmerize their main interrupt/stunner, two heroes useless.
Ult the 3rd, usually the one that you can solo with your ult/heartache so your teammates can concentrate on the hero you hit with smitten to make sure he dies or runs away and be ready for their stunner to come out of Mes.
