The concept of this post is mainly gather ALL CAI requests and merge them in one single proyect called Account Icon Shop.
The most talented artists of the fan media section are willing to complete your request.

» How to request a custom icon:
Post a reply with the following content (you don't have to copy-paste this):
- Source image (this is very important): This is the image you want iconized.
You must provide a link to that image (or you can post it between tags)
- Rounded borders: YES/NO (Or any other shape you want it)
- Icon gloss: YES/NO
- Borders: YES/NO (Or any other specific border you want)
- Text wanted: Any text you want in your icon (highly not recommended due to in-game small size view)
- Colors wanted: Basic color theme you want is your icon
- Others: Any other thing you want added in your icon

» Explenation of the above - Learn what to ask for:
- Source image: If you don't have one, it's ok. It means you want us to create something new (it is hard and time-inefficient)
- Gloss: Effects that will make the icon have a more 3D effect, like it has light/shadows on it.
- Border: Outline in the edges of the icon (like a portrait)
- Color: Change specific colours (like eyes from black to red/blue) or recolourize the background or the entire image.

I don't really like the wallpaper in my old room and the bed sheet is ripped. I tried cutting out parts of the background, keeping the pillow and wooden frame, but the perspectives ended up looking kind of weird. Replacing the wallpaper (with black) and repairing the sheet was... well, not in my skillset.

So what I'm asking is for inspiration I guess. If someone wanna fiddle around a bit with the image, it'd be great.

Still deciding if i want text on it and what exactly it should be, but that's easy enough to add later myself.

I guess it's so small that no one will ever notice, but the ripped sheet in the upper right bothers me when I know it's there. I like what you did with the wallpaper though, game me a few good ideas top try. Also, I think I overdid the cropping in my own tests, it actually looks ok and gives a nice place for the text your way.

Anyone know what feather/radius S2 uses on their icons for the border cuts? I guess I could wing it, but I'm kina anal about being precise.

You are playing on medium or low quality, and the model isn't skinned correctly, and still uses his beta model which was a recolored Tremble. Wait until the next patch, or turn your detail up higher for his actual model to appear :)

Can't say if it improved or not, guess it comes down to personal preference.

Look, when i bought my CAI, the whole system lagged and it asked me to PURCHASE AGAIN. So i pressed it, i paied only once but i got 2 CAIs.

Right click+save, it is png.

An other guy used the DOTA 2 full logo. I made a Traxex Dota 2 CAI, i 've seen Lina Dota 2 CAI too... I don't think it's a problem.
S2 don't let you use nudity, insulting, etc.

I'm trying with this template but i get muddy letters with not nice red colour and Guy's Lines won't be shown at all in such a dark background...

But i noticed that if i let it as it is, it hides so many things in the pic (like the names up right and left)

Well , I use GIMP. In this, you select the "Rectangular selection tool" (if it is not named like this, it is the first icon in toolbox with the "R" hotkey.

You select the area that you want and you go down in toolbox and select
"Rounded Corners" with 12,5-13 radius.
Adjust the Icon well to the rounded square, cut it, and paste it in a new transparent layer. Delete the old one :)

EDIT: I saw a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoYDIrppc2s) right now and saw that there is an option at "Select" tab, "Rounded Rectangle" you chose the radius arount 20, but i don't know how precise it is for Avunaos template...

Well , I use GIMP. In this, you select the "Rectangular selection tool" (if it is not named like this, it is the first icon in toolbox with the "R" hotkey.

You select the area that you want and you go down in toolbox and select
"Rounded Corners" with 12,5-13 radius.
Adjust the Icon well to the rounded square, cut it, and paste it in a new transparent layer. Delete the old one :)

EDIT: I saw a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoYDIrppc2s) right now and saw that there is an option at "Select" tab, "Rounded Rectangle" you chose the radius arount 20, but i don't know how precise it is for Avunaos template...

Select it with the way i told you. Press Ctrl+X (Cut)
Find and create a new layer. Make sure it is full transparent.
Go to the new layer and press CTRL+V (paste)
Delete the old layer. Done :)

As a rule gloss looks better, but when it's this picture it seems akward. The non glossed one just seems too plain though...
