I hear it a lot and i thought i knew what it was.. (guessing)

Orb walking is casting a spell that is an attack as well (such as arachna's slow, or Kraken's splash), and ONLY using those to attack a hero.

The point of this, is so the creeps don't aggro you.

Q-walk toward them-Q-walk toward them-Repeat

It makes chasing easy in lane, and you should give it a try.

Again, the point is so the creeps continue to fight each other and do NOT come after you to a) prevent you from getting owned by creeps and b) to get pathing screwed up by creeps

Awesome.. I really had no idea then.
I use arachna frequently when i'm not trying to learn other players and i do this occasionally and never knew what it was called. :)
Though i thought they(the creeps) still attacked me.. will have to pay attention more.

It was used alot in DotA to help cancel out the swing back part of characters with bad animations, like Drow, but it also helps most characters because you're increasing the efficiency of your attacks anyway.

Orb walking works less effectively in HoN as your attack animation carries over to the next attack so you shoot much slower.
