Can the unknowns stand up against one of the most well known and expereienced HoN clans we've seen?

Match Analysis

fiVe - avg PSR = 1955 / Top 5 avg = 1989

We all know Team 5, they're considered one of the better teams around right now, and they're consistent performers. They already have multiple tournaments under their belt and have placed well in all of them. They will place at worst, 3rd place, in avan's tournament which has yet to conclude. They won 1st place in gamereplays.org first tournament, against a formidable opponent, CGF. They finished top 3 in gamereplays 2nd tournament, being bested by one of the hottest clans on the scene right now, clan 143. All in all, these guys are solid performers and we can expect their A game here.

Lobsters - avg PSR = 1929 | Top 5 avg = same

A group of friends with no HoN event experience, at least not as a whole. From personal experience, I know that at least a few of these guys possess a good deal of skill, no doubt from their extensive competitive dota experience, which will certainly lend itself well here! I've never seen them scrim or played against them as a whole yet, but I have high expectations from these guys. They're going to be looking to make some noise and make a name for themselves as formidable HoN players!

The Spread

It's going to be a great game but the favorite going in is going to be fiVe.
Stridah's betting line: Team fiVe -7.5 kills

KGB_Killer’s Prediction: Although team Five has shown that they do have some skills with those high placed finishes in recent tournaments, my heart tells me lobster is going to keep it close. Team Five will get all they can handle from Lobster and although Five will pull out the win it will be a close one.

Team Five wins 31-25, but Lobster stays within the spread.

Trashtalking always happens in team games more than solo games.

In a solo game someone beats you it's a lot harder to claim you're better than them. In a team game you can always shift blame and still claim you're better than everyone.

We've yet to see the rest of the teams playing. Some may be average for competitive DotA but are main competators in HoN while its still in beta.

Tbh JAH if you did only have few hours sleep and knew you wouldn't be playing great you should have let another clan member play. Don't go blaming your team for not playing well together if you can't be arsed to get enough rest for it or if due to uncontrollable circumstances allow yourself to play when your not up to it.

Damn, whats with all the insinuations. I wasn't making excuses, wasn't saying its my teams fault ,and wasn't saying that team [5] is bad, but the fact of the matter is no one on my team has any scrim/tourney experience. This is the third time we've played together and we are not an above averaged skill team. The first time we played together we lost to 5 random pubs as a 5 man team.

To say that [5] is a high tier team when they didn't completely roll us, is bullshit and you know it. Don't get me wrong they decent and have potential kinda like d4l. No offense to them, obviously they beat me so what does that say about me, but they are not high tier, pokerstars will stomp them in the finals if they get that far, this you know is true.

Hellfire, I know its hard for people like you who have never played in high tier games to grasp this, but you'll understand when you start to get some skill.

Round two has slim pickings as well but, the one I have in mind is going to be a GREAT WATCH. Well Lobsters couldn't push late anymore due to 5-team being overfarmed :) They should've pushed earlier and tbh I think Swiftblade was not the best pick. Pestilence was alot more benefical to his team without heavy farming in my opinion due to his ulti being spammable and with a nice stunning/escaping capabilities. GG, nice play from both!

I also liked the shoutcast but the other commentator had his voice settings turned too high.

Everything is still being worked out, much like the game.

mic quality can easily be fixed. other then that there is nothing that cant be fixed with a bit more routine(like missing some kills ~)

they have fun doing it and you can hear that. that alone makes them better then those boring "i do this cause i have to and im bored as ****" casters you see so often.

i had fun watching it and listening to their sometimes crazy commentary. considering its so early they are doing a great job.

be happy someone is doing it instead of hating for no reason.

2:11 to 2:12 is what I'm talking about. It's ironic the casters were saying lobsters have to push together, and there they go pushing 4v5 with pharaoh going off on his own leaving 3 in lane and then dying, then everyone separates and Hammerstorm gets a hat-trick :/

Eh, the entire thing seems unpolished but this is new. Commentary was annoying too, they missed a ton of kills and were talking about stupid **** while action was happening. You only talk about filler like that in between the action, and usually it's best spent talking about the game and predicting.

Not to mention the feed was mega laggy most of the game.

I just watched the entire video and all in all I'd say it was an OK shoutcast. The mic. quality should be better and pls avoid screaming that much, it was a bit annyoing after a while. Also the picking part was too boring but I guess in a live shoutcasting you can't do much about that, hope sooner or later there will be a CM mod to fasten that up. Oh, and one more thing, you should always have some hero "clicked on" so we can see their items all the time and see which build they are going to get.
edit: Also there is a function on "v" button by default which will auto-follow the selected hero so you won't get lost during an action by scrolling away on the map or w/e.

1st I wanna say thanks to Tobako which showed me that I was totaly wrong on the torturer.... I really taught torturer was a bad hero and I kind of understood how to play him... I went 17-4 yesterday in a pub with him.

I also learned many things Konsume.However, it was not Tabako taht I focused on. Anybody can own with torturer solo. Even JAH probably could have owned with Tort and kid is bad. Nothing impressive.

I focused on watching and taking notes from Blavo who used a skill Valk hero.

His potm abilities are truely spectacular and his item build quite insightful. I hope to catch him online some time and ask him questions. I hope that he will divulge to me his strategic knowledge and perhaps give some skillful tips.
