Abbreviations

So, I have been reading up on starter guides and so on, but something I have found to be quite common is the use of abbreviations, and so far I have not managed to find any explanation of them. I think it would be a bright idea to have explained abbreviations used in guides and such.

I have tried to find a post like this but haven't been succesfull so far.

Most of the abbreviations you will run across here are for all games. Here are a few examples.

DPS = Damage per second.
DOT = Damage over time.
HP = Health Points
str = strength
agi = agility

Please give a list of the ones you're struggling with and we'll help you out. Also, remember that it may not be an abbreviation. BKB is what most people call the Shrunken Head. It's not an abbreviation. BKB was the term in DotA (an acronym for the full item name) but there is nothing named BKB in HoN. People just like to use the old name.
