The server is letting 300 people at a time login, just wait patiently and we will all be in in awhile.

We waited 10 hours for this, we can do 10-20 mins =)

UPDATE: Value has been lowered to 50-120 per 30 secs now.

UPDATE 2 : POSSIBLE solution is restarting your router / Internet Connection.

UPDATE 3 : Current online Players : 30 524

UPDATE 4 : 31 121 people online - Restarting Router doesn't seem to work for some people, someone suggested it could be S2 IP banning people spamming login (DDos protection system whatever) hence why restarting the router (getting new IP address) only could be a possible sollution.... too bad S2 cant provide us with more info on how long such a ban is..

UPDATE 5 : 31 738 - feels like its slowed down... gona try play now.. mate tried for 1 hour to login, he is trying the "get a new IP sollution".

and I counted, its 300 persons per 30 secs, so in 10 mins you have 6000 people in!

These numbers(What we are talking about) seem reasonable. Looking at another thread on these forums ~10000 people where online at 10:00. 12000 players logging in over a period of 25 minutes gives ~500/minute

So, just as during the downtime the client is left static at "Logging in, please wait..." and haven't progressed for over half an hour now.

So people who logged in, should i just leave it and wait or start spamming log in > cancel > log in until success? Seeing i've been trying to get in for like 40 minutes by now it clearly can't be any queue system...

Assuming current speed and 40000 players logging on in total leaving a grand 30minutes before everyone gets online. The average wait time from now should be ~15minutes.

1) It all started beautifully, with HoN Game Servers randomly lagging people out, making them unable to reconnect to the servers. This continued for about a month for me and several of my friends.

2) DDoS attacks are announced, servers crash completely and go down faster than the Titanic.

3) Part three brings us to today, where tables screw up for 10+ hours.

Now, I've been an devouted HoN player ever since the beta, but this is all starting to be VERY, VERY sad. Not only has the game been broken for more than a month, but the compensation for this is in a double coin weekend? I mean really, that's it?

As mentioned above, I love HoN, I think it's the best "dota" game out there, but the service has been so shitty over the past few weeks that I've just grown tired with the game. It feels like everytime you feel like playing, something is wrong / laggy / DDoSed / bugging.

I guess what Im trying to say is that I miss the WORKING HoN, not the bullshit laggy / not working HoN we have had over the past few weeks

Im not protecting S2 in any way but steaming off in the forums wont exactly help server pressure or make you login quicker, despite forums probably being on a diffrent server..

and btw : 28 495 ... its slowed down abit.. probably cause of them 28k players wanting to start a server at the same time...

I agree. I have nagging doubt that the amount of users logging on will tap out and I'll still be stuck out. Any news anywhere from S2 staff even addressing the issue of us locked out?

I connected to my modem through wireless, which assigned me a new IP. Another way is to disconnect the modem for a while, then re-apply the power. If that didn't work either, you can use VPN. You can google the two concerns:
1: How to get a new IP.
2: VPN.

restarted my router twice, here in netherlands we have static ip's, so you won't get a new ip if you restart it. It seems that people with static ip's are screwed...

The fact that an IP change works seemingly flawlessly (Differentiated from router reset, im saying when it's sucessful) shows that this is clearly S2 being faulty.. this is quite upsetting, there are many out there who cannot simply "Change their IP" yet they are thrown aside... *sigh*

Well the IP blocks are probably trying to prevent DDoS attacks, which is fairly great, and if it wasn't for this "accident", the blocking wouldn't be a problem.

If you're having a router, and you are not sure whether you got a static IP or not, you can try to connect your computer directly to the modem (not through the router).

I restarted my router and didn't work then I flushed my DNS cache and it worked.

Restart router and (restart pc or flush dns and will work at least did for me)

People with static IP's being :flux:ed over because of S2's own problems, on a weekend, on the weekend of their planned "we'll make up for our downtime" It's beyond a joke and the support supplied is ridiculous.
