Until anyone can show us a part of the terms and rules etc that states that HoN is not to be DDOS'd during it's lifespan threads like this will be to absolutely no worth at all, and just removed, hopefully hidden in a dark corner along with other retarded posts about an attack.

A more constructive way to help is to download a good antivirus and search your computer to find out if you are a part of a botnet that possibly attacks the HoN servers.

Well my opinion is that the game is gonna die soon. It's a shame really because it is a very good one except one fault: the people that manage it are...retards. I'm sorry to say that but after one year they still didn't managed to establish a decent balance for the Match Making. Six out of ten games are ruined because one or more players are either at their first games, were boosted by friends that needed them for support but when they are solo they wanna "carry" and of course they suck at it or even because they are high on whatever **** they take to feel alive. Before hon i was a decent and calm gamer but this beyond poor game management and stupid changes (like the shop that takes the whole screen) pushed me too hard. To be honest, sometimes i feel like quitting the joined game right from the start when i see the paradox between stats and hero picks but i can't of course (5% limit). So R.I.P hon.

Traha, your complaints aren't about S2, yet you call them incompetent. How do you make a system that knows if an account is boosted, a smurf, a griefer, player is high/drunk (which is often something claimed just to be cool or as an excuse for having a bad game)?

It's just not possible. Most people point to games with good MM that don't require TEN players to be of equal skill. Even then not all avenues are covered. Good players can have bad games, or fail at a character they are not experienced with.

You also comment on the 5% leave limit... yet if you played DotA was plagued by leavers. A leave limit is the lesser of two evils (SIGNIFICANTLY LESSER evil).

That said, HoN is being strangled by these DDoS attacks. Players will leave, regardless of whether it is S2's fault or not, they are going to suffer for it because their players will become frustrated and find other games to play.

They are incompetent. True, no one can detect if a player is drunk etc. but they can balance teams according to number of games/actual hours played, place players into tiers or allow only players with more than 300...500 games to join Match Making. If u remember the first version of Match Making asked players if they were beginners, intermediate or experienced but i guess it wasn't effective as any kid after 10 games thinks he knows it all. Anyway no one can convince me that a balance based on MMR and group size is even close to fair, as a new player needs at least 500 games to play decent.

You seem to see S2 as some cuddly creature with feelings and emotions that cant help anything bad that happens.

Wrong S2 is a company, S2 Makes money from this product, S2 is responsible for this product, and IF S2 has any buisness sense they would Also take care of its customers.

They simply don't have much to say, besides the obvious (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=272851) (they are aware of the issue and working on it). Nothing new. And they didnt fix it yet, because it simply isn't that easy. They probably have to work together with their Providers everytime an attack occurs.
