Hi, i'm in a high 1700s and low 1800s bracket. And i don't know why i am always blue/pink so here's a tutorial on how to deal with oj/brown.
1) Never let oj/brown picks carries. Since i'm 179x or 180x the oj/brown i get is normally 1600s or low 1700. In my experience, oj/brown will always fail to carry and feed at the end no matter how good a start they have from their support. They just can't, i don't know why but there's few games that our team thought we are going to lose because their carry(brown/oj) have a really good early game. However, as the game goes on the oj/brown start to buy stupid items and solo and feed.
2) Never let your oj/brown solo mid against a pink/blue. The skill difference is just too big. When i'm blue/pink and i saw their oj/brown is a solo hero i can always go solo mid against them no matter what hero i'm using.
E.G
scout(me) vs valk(oj/brown) i was dominating that lane and killed that valk twice.
Swift blade(me) vs deadwood(oj/brown) yea against i was dominating and they cc at 15 the dw can't do anything.
Mb(me) vs deflier(oj/brown) yea again.... i dont' know how but.... yea i dominated that lane.
So yea i think i've give enough of my exp that oj/brown can't solo mid against a pink/blue no matter WHAT the pick is.

I understand where your coming from but because i tend to play with friends as a 5man group i always tend to find that my worst friend picks a carry no matter what just because he doesnt like support and hes pretty bad at the whole support thing and tbf he sucks as a carry and its hard to tell him so i could be hard for other people if they are grouped up aswell

Not sure if hes trying to boast about his ability to dominate oj/browns in mm?
Fact is you dont have control over who they pick, you get people that simply will not listen to the team at all and pick whoever they want, regardless of hte synergy it brings to the team. So i don't get your point?

the point of a 'tutorial' is to teach. all you've done is say what was already known and also leaving out the most key thing when playing mm. orange/brown never listens. ever.
however in my experience, purple is always the deadshit. not green (if hellbourne), purple. And usually teal/grey is better than blue/pink.

I don't think so, normally blue/pink have enough exp that qqing on oj/brown will only lose the game where does purple/lb will be the qqer.

As crazy as this sounds for some reason orange seems to stick out as the baddie fairly often hell i remember during beta orange had like a 80% chance to carry the opposite team lol

i agree with OP i have the same problem
honestly it doesnt matter who goes where, if brown/oj is mid and pink/blue is mid you can honestly try to rig the heroes as hard as you want the blue/pink will still win.
btw andyjay when im orange/brown I prefer to pick whatever the team needs me to pick, if pink says brown your playing this hero and i am brown then i will agree to what he says because chances are he is better than me. i play this game for fun and the only fun is winning, therefore i pick the hero best suited to win games.

Seriously, if we COULD stop the lowest rated players from insta picking a carry we would.
No one wants them on those heroes but if they pick them you just have to adapt...

This is retarded.Your are most of the time blue or pink because most of the players are between 1500-1700 rating so you being 1800 means most of the time you will be one of those colors. But sometimes you will be orange/brown and you will fail vs the pink/blue mid or carry because (shocking) hes better than you.

Maybe he has the brain to pick support, when he's oj/brown. Unless the better players want to play support instead. :scou:

OJ as in Orange Juice (which is clearly the most epic of all drinks coloured Orange)
I'm looking at you Mountain Dew step up your game.
Anyway generally I find its best to look at the players stats and decide whether or not to complain about them playing a carry I'm only 1650 player but if i pick carry i'll be worse than a 1400 hence even a 1500 carry i would prefer over myself carrying.
Also keep in mind if you constantly force oj/brown to play supports which they're not used to they're going to keep feeding with that no item glacius because they're out of their element.
Also you will have to put up with bad ward placements lack of wards/courier probably no counters whatsoever.
Every game has an Oj/Brown best thing to do is take advantage of the skill gap by picking on the enemies team one and generally if you have got OJ/brown who wants to carry desperately mitigate it by suggesting hero's that can carry but are still useful without farm (Hammerstorm/Puppet/Aluna/Valk come to mind)

It's a term derived from "Orange Juice". It's just kinda evolved into just being an abbreviation for orange, because the 'ge' makes a 'j' sound.

Fenald

what I've gathered from this thread is that 1800s suck at this game and pick bad heroes like scout and magebane to solo mid with.
Now I understand why the 1800 oranges and brown I play with think they can carry they're used to being pink blue.
It's absurd how consistently vastly inferior players try to explain to me that the reason I have 150 more MMR than them is because they get bad teammates.
I get bad teammates too, and in my games it's you.
Additionally there is absolutely no way to teach brown/orange to play. At the even hint of a suggestion regarding hero choice, strategy, or item choice they instantly do the exact opposite just to spite you for "telling them how to play". They "know what they're doing" and will not listen to anything you have to say. Any attempt to reason with or question their actions will result in " YOU MAD DUDE LOL THIS NERDS SO MAD DUDE WHY ARE YOU SO MAD?".
"trolling" has become an excuse for being complete **** at anything. LOL TROLLED YOU GOOD BY SUCKING BALLS YOU'RE SO MADDDD
Kids with 1800 mmr and 51% wins honestly think they're on the same level as me and that the only difference is a few unlucky games.
It's baffling.
Theres maybe 1 in 5 games where I don't have to drag my team kicking and screaming to the victory. It literally seems not like they don't know how to win but that they really want to lose.

Uhm, this may be the worst advice any "pro" player has ever given.
1) 1700-low 1800 is the new "average"
2) Your bracket is so random that brown easily can rape the **** out of blue
3) Even though this assertion isn't completely true, everyone thinks this way, so why bother "enlightening" us?

I find it funny when the difference between orange, and blue is 20 psr or so, and blue acts like hes some GOD, when in truth the difference, is negligable.
Also, this whole "OJ IS BAD" stereotype is rather stupid. Ive played many games, were the orange player is the best player on the team

Iv personally been oj and brown with **** pink/blue a couple times having to CARRY THEM late game and win.
Not all oj and browns, check their stats check their winrate kdr wards gpm/apm before judging. Otherwise making threads like this will just make you look stupid
The only point you can make with this OP is that oj and brown are more PRONE to **** ups than blue and pink, but not always
