HoN shops with DotA icons

Just so that I can learn the shops faster I produced this image to help out. Thankfully I have dual screen so I can just leave this on the other monitor while im playing.

If I have made any mistakes just shout and i'll get them corrected.

I've been using your picture on my second monitor as a reference and have been loving it. I don't have to spend hours at the shop trying to find what I want, and I still learn where the items are over time.

Items need to include their stats somewhere in the description so it's easier to tell what they are.

The shop is getting changed around in the next patch I hear, so this might not be useful very long.

I'd like this to be more in depth.. I want to learn the names and images for HoN..
It would be really neat if someone made an item guide like this, yet when you moused over the DotA icons it would show the HoN icon, or vice versa.

Yes I have done it for myself as well. It is just extremely tedious work. Its really not difficult to do. If anyone was curious on how to do it just unzip the textures.s2z file then go to the items folder inside and replace the icon.dds files in the basic and recipe folders. They resize themselves so you can just rip the files from anywhere, convert them to dds files and then place them in the correct folders.

I am curious about how to break an item apart into its individual pieces in HoN? I remember I could set the item in the "hangar" to dismantle it in DotA, how is it done in HoN?

it's done in ur stash, which is accesible when you have the main shop selected.

why is it that dota icon charts/mods turn it into 4 columns? hon windows are in 5 columns so keep it that way and just substitute the icon. we all know the icons so it we don't need the shops to be resized.

u realize some shops have over 13 items?

turning it to 4 columsn and 3 rows when the default is 5 columns and 4 rows is just BAD. not only b/c it cuts things off, but b/c it doesnt help the person get used to HoN. layout.

keep items and positions identical to the HoN stuff. as long as ppl have the dota picture they can recognize it. it should be to help memorize which item is where, not rearrange everything so it's different and u never get used to HoN layout
