This may seem lazy, But just like pinging your own tower says ' defend this tower' and pinging an enemy says 'attack this enemy'

I think that pinging a rune should say 'Double Damage'
whatever rune it is you pinged. I don't like pinging and then typing 'dd' would be easier for team to know if they should go for that specific rune or not.

I also think that pinging an enemy shouldn't say 'ATTACK this enemy' Maybe just 'AhhaNewb Pinged Deadwood'

I disagree with it because it promotes being lazy.

It doesn't 'promote being lazy' it helps gameplay. HoN is a fast paced game. Sometimes on your way to gank top you just want to ping that there is a regen, or a illusion. And the time it takes to take your hand off of mouse to type
'illu' Could get you killed.

Runes are not visible on the minimap.

If anything, it should say "I think there's a rune here". Which is kind of pointless imo.

I'm not saying when the rune isn't visible.

Here is a scenario;

I'm top coming to gank mid, I see a rune. I don't have a bottle but mid does. I ping the rune top (that I can see). Instead of pinging the rune and then typing 'regen' while in the midst of a gank. I should be able to just ping the rune and continue running. So that mid knows it's a regen without scrolling away from the gank to see what it is (if I don't call it out), and mid can then decide to go for it now or after the gank. (dd now vs regen after)

It also helps if I don't have a bottle yet there is a regen. If I have full hp and mana why would I grab it? I could just ping it, notifying the entire team it's a regeneration w/o typing it, and continue on my way.

If it was implemented that would mean you could be laning anywhere and ping both rune areas every 2 min(if you had visioon of them) and know where and what the rune is without moving your screen. not sure if it is a good or a bad idea.

Don't make it pingable on the mini map then.

Just make it pingable when you actually click the unit.
