2 map Textures that I made.

Neither are anything fancy... The first one was an Idea I had, that I thought turned out pretty well, and the second was me thinking "Hey! Maybe I can make a full Map Pack with tons of different cool map skins."
Than realized, "Ok, I'm no good at this, I can't even get the 2 paths to blend right, and it's way too time consuming."

How to Install! (This is actually very easy)

Step 0: Download and Locate the files, and keep that folder open.
Step 1: Click Start.
Step 2: Go to "Computer"
Step 3: Double Click "Local Disk (C: )"
Step 4: Open "Program Files"
Step 5: Open "Heroes of Newerth"
Step 6: Open "Game"
Step 7: Open "Maps"
Step 8: Rename "Caldavar" to "Caldavar_Original"
Step 9: Drag the 2 new maps into this folder.
Step 10: Take whichever map you want to play, and edit the name to just "caldavar" (Just delete everything including and to the right of the underscore in the name.)
Step 11: Open HoN and start up a match.
Step 12: Enjoy! =D

Stupid Auto Correct Didn't correct me. =P

I'll make and add more to the list too, whenever I feel in the mood to make em. But there aren't that many textures that are in the game to play with atm.
I'd love to make a Sand / Desert one.... =D

Yeah could be a idea.

I really like clear and clean textures, atleast when its of environment. When its skins/models for heroes, then it can be anything, aslong as it looks good :)

Yeah, neither of those are really "Clear and Clean" just thrown together fast, I can't seem to get the textures to fade into each other when using 2 completely dif textures... I know the whole layer 1 and layer 2 thing, but it doesn't seem to work unless the textures are close.

You can tell on the 2nd map with the edits that the <> (angled squares, or diamond pattern) is there becuase the cracks in the ground arent lined up and there is clear/visible pattern clones, every 2 inches I see the same Diamond over and over. Not a big deal, it should just feel like a more natural pattern then a forced one.

If im being confusing go to the 2nd example link and look right above nymphs photo, and then right above the second inven slot. Easily visible that the pattern is there.

Haha, Yeah, I was just painting the map basically was doing it for myself, but I figured I'd post because who knows, someone may really enjoy it. :)

its a great idea, so don't give up, just work on restoring that natural flow, it looks like you probably changed the lighting of the tiles or something, or maybe the layer with ice on it has some kind of fog? not really sure hah.

The ice one is TOO bright imo, I'm probably going to "Dirty" the snow a bit to make it not so blinding. xD

If I have another Idea that pops into my head, I might do it. =P

the fire one looks pretty well meshed together, theres some beveledness to the look, but i think because its more smothered than the ice it flows better.

If you tried putting more ice on each tile maybe the ice would connect better.

The Snow one looks pretty promising!
But some extra textures might help a bit, maybe something a little different for the hellbourne side at least.

Can you update the Fire and Ice so it doesn't bug with the new ramps around kongor?

And perhaps try again at the seams so they aren't so sharp between legion and hellbourne.

Here's the Update to the "Fire N Ice" one, the "Rough" one, I didn't test it,a nd just tried to finish it fast since I don't have much time lately, but I had a request to update it so here ya go.
I probably won't be keeping up with these anymore though because, well, I'm rarely on my computer anymore, and when I am I'd rather spend my time playing the game, not working for it.
