considering flux is range, semi carry, initiator, ganker and semi tank, was wondering whats the ideal flux build developing as of the moment
how do u build flux if you're:
1. solo
2. lane
3. tri lane
what items do u get at:
1. early game
2. mid game
3. late game
and aside from the recommended items, whats your experimental build for flux on leveling and item build?

I met a Flux with 3 crushing claws for starting items. Spaming his pull then some very powerful auto-attacks. It was very painful (i had a squishy).

:Insanitarius: seems to be an interesting pick up. Haven't tried it first-hand yet, though.

im thinking :FrostfieldPlate: :Portalkey:
like blink in, ulti pull then activate frost?
coz its cheaper than frost skull and u get the bonus armor

Pretty much, Flux synergizes extremely well with behemoth, tempest, kraken, any hero that requires the opponents to be stacked.

theres no good reason to pick flux if you dont line him up with some nasty aoe, becasue besides his nuke, his damage output is worse than mediocre. thats mostly like playing a 4v5

Exactly my point, seeing as his ulti is just a CC, non-dmg, He'll be the tankey/intiator that gains his worth through utility instead of pure dmg, plus his ulti is on a low CD is it? Excellent for scouting aswell, seeing as he reveals every hero on the map.
Gotta say though, that ulti of his is absolutely amazing. I love playing behemoth and the fact that flux is a popular hero atm makes me all that much happier.
Now if only people would know how to play him.. that would absolutely make my day.

Only things that are really viable on him. All he can do is initiate, he sucks at everything else.

Played with about 6-7 Flux, none of them were any good.
But pk & shivas seems very fine, i would activate shivas b4 ult, so the frost is spreading out while my enemies are pulled closer.

depending on how far the enemy, i would use the ulti first then activate shivas/frostfield plate afterwards to get most of my targets on frost debuff

:flux: + :engi: is one of my favorite flux combos. but 95% of the time flux is useless in pub games.

I will admit he is very situational. But he can dominate the lane stage extremely well. I prefer him as a lane hero. Most people I see level his pull/push first, which is not good at all, I prefer to lvl him like this:
1:Release
2:Magnetic Surge
3:Polarity swap/release (if you need some range or need to push sm1 get polarity swap if not wait till 5)
4:Release/Magnetic Surge
5:Release/Polarity Swap
6:Magnetic Surge/Ult (Ask yourself if you need your ult or not)
7:Release/Ult

He's a great hero. I haven't lost a mid lane with him versus any melee hero yet. Kraken might put up a good fight.
Somewhat of a troll build but I rush a :AlchemistBones: on him. With that in hand - haha - its easy to farm the rest of your stuff even if you have a horrible mid-game.
Steamboots or marchers, but typically go steam.
Now, :FrostwolfsSkull: is good for his ulti - but man its a slow road to farm it up if you aren't careful. Most annoying thing for me is that his ulti doesn't put PKs on cooldown - only really noticed after a failed assist on a gank on legionnaire.
While I have yet to build it, because I have not be against heavy nukes, a :Nullstone: does provide survivability as well as +15 strength on a hero who benefits from it greatly. Also will address his mana issues.
By the end, for their carry, I will snag a :BarbedArmor: since he is so tanky and prone to be focused.
My normal pub-stomping build right now is: :AlchemistBones: which in turn rushed icebrand for a :FrostwolfsSkull::Steamboots::Portalkey:. After that it depends, I've gone a few things for the lulz like :Mock: but if you manage all your FWS, boots, and pk. might as well opt for :BehemothsHeart: since you are obviously destroying the enemy team or free-farming.
As an aside, people will rage against it - but interestingly the hatchet's +12% translates into a ring of the teacher's +6dmg (against creeps) early game and a considerable amount more mid/late game. So, really helps you last hit and speed up your farm. I begin the game like so: 1x:RunesOfTheBlight: :LoggersHatchet: :CrushingClaws: :MinorTotem: :MinorTotem:

he doesnt need another slow -.-
he has one that can slow for 70% already.
pkey and nullstone are core, and of course, just pick him if you have a team fo follow up.

I think you win dude. Flux is a typical example of a hero who is useless (mostly) on his own but can totally change a game around with the right picks and teammates. The first game I saw Flux I was playing Magmus, there was a fight in our bush and just as I wanted to blink in with my ult he ulted (he was standing pretty much were I was aiming for). Its the only fight of that whole game that we won. I think he can be pretty usefull without his ult, but probably you will need a teammate most of the time to get kills.

i build him like my old huskar build. he is a str hero with abilities that benefit from str. i been starting with with either 3 or 4 claws. (i substitute runes of blight if i think imma need it before i can have courier bring it) i then either build steamboots or finish my 4 bracers. with those stats bonus u can easy out last hit pretty much any hero (except maybe dw).
skills: i get 3-2-1-3-3-4-3-1-1-1-4-2-2-2...stats ult.... or u can max 2 instead of 1 first. ur choice.
early core items:
steamboots
3 or 4 bracers
from that point on i either farm up pk or frostwolf.
luxary items:
hearts!! (as i said before stats help soooo much.)
possible item build would be substitute frostwolf for frostfield plate (but i have not tried yet)
criticism is appreciated but dont thrash my build... i have done really well with this so far.

I'm definitely thinking it's a priority to max his range, 350 is horrible, 400 is barely an improvement... but 550 really isn't bad
