if youve ever seen more than one flux at a time for whatever reason, illusions etc youll quickly notice that your fps will get raped as long as theyre in sight
this is because the passive 'ring' effect on the E ability has too high a spawnrate for such a material, ie the engine gets choked,
sadly it doesnt matter one bit what your pc specs are
so this mod removes a part of the push/pull passive effect on E, letting you play around illusion flux' without choking your fps,
it doesnt look as pretty as the standard one but its here if you want it

funny thing is, those "rings" are just sprites. Two 2D art that just loops. If you are honestly getting fps bum-raped from that...time to upgrade.
But, non the less this is a good change for those that can't or dont want to.

Yeah I have to say, I've gotten an illusion rune with Flux and didn't take any noticeable FPS hit

Actually each ring is spawning 40 particles per second and there are 20 rings, so that's 800 particles per second.

It all depends on the user's computer I suppose. I notice no such problems, even doing a 5v5 all Flux mid only game. But this would be really helpful for people with lower end computers I suppose.
Nice contribution.

lol i dont get these problems and i've done an all 10 person flux. so yea it does matter.
this mod also works in increasing your performance with flux. click (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127565&cm_re=560_ti-_-14-127-565-_-Product).

Actually each ring is spawning 40 particles per second and there are 20 rings, so that's 800 particles per second.
That is alot, but again their sprites, 2d art with no real 3D rendering needed to show it , ie would be Diablo,Starcraft 1 ect. No shadowing,lighting,normal/bump mapping, dynamic lighting and shadows,HDR, ect ect.
So If you can't handle simple sprites, even if its alot, then its time to spend 150$ on a updated video card :-p and that's a budget card for up-to-date tech.
