Hey there. My first mod to HoN. First i used this only private but i think you even might enjoy this. This mod replaces picking sounds with music which descriptions hero best way. And some bonus feature ;)
At this moment there is only replaced sounds for:

Just put this file to the Game-folder (C -> Program Files -> Heroes Of Newerth -> Game) and if you don't like it just remove it.
!!!! REMEMBER to delete old version of this mod before running the game !!!!

Haha it is chaos, especially when you are in Skype with your friends and you are like "hold on, game is starting" then 10 sec later you are "okey, i can hear you again" :D

Hehe maintain the game starting sound you have now but just without the heroes songs, coz like you said before, when everyone picks at the last seconds = CHAOS. In the future maybe try a different Game-starting sound? Just suggesting :D

All 3 starting musics should be working now! If you interested what was wrong with them: one folder was called "sound" when it should be called "sounds". Second thing: it was on RAR, not ZIP. I updated links on the first page. Thanks for your patience :)

Herodex was back in the days like that, but big bad S2 Games updated it for "modern"-version it is pretty much changed + makes my job harder because i have to go ingame to make test everything went right.

Hi guys, long time no see. I just wanna say that i haven't quit doing this mod, it's just hard to figure out which song is best to describe a hero and so on. So i started to do update this mod and put some more heroes when i faced this problem: the goddamn gam wouldn't play them. Game found them but just can't play them. It's silence when you pick for exam. Amun-Ra. So that is the case, i'm trying to figure it out what's wrong with it. Hope to see you soon!

Thanks for you support! I will not forget this project but at this moment it's stuck because HoN's systems are ****ed up. I can think this again with better time in next week. And show me your suggestions that i can see what you are thinking about :) Like i said, at this moment i have new sounds for Flint, Monarch, Amun-Ra, Pyromancer, Glacius and Draconis but problems is that HoN wont play those sounds so right now old soundpack is only working pack. So that's my main priority at this point, which means pretty stupid and stuff because (and i quote myself) :
"I'm here to ask what could be the problem, when i'm trying to do some custom sounds. First of all: I made my custom pickingsounds pack ages ago, it worked back then. When i changed XP -> W7 I couldn't do custom soudns anymore, even though they were made correctly. HoN founds the sounds yeah, but it's not able to play them, even if they are .ogg-files. My previously sounds works normally but new ones don't. Could the problem be in Audacity? Doubt it, i tried new beta and older versions and both was deadend. Any ideas?"

Horrible english, i know. But you get te point. So, now you know better my problem. I'll be back as soon as i can to update this mod.

Unfortunately no, only thing that comes into my mind, and it is to do honmod-versio but it seems so much harder than doing this .s2z-way.
Nobody seems to know what is the problem, I posted same thing into problem-site and there one guy answered/said that he replaced Behemoths ult-sound to Swiftblades.... but nothing happened. Even HoN owns sounds can't be mixed up. So right now.... no idea. I try to find way like example downloading virtual pc, make it XP operation system and try to make there. But this is only thinking.

Well, i'll be damned. HoN forums actually can help :D This gentleman (yergAcheffe (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/member.php?6378-yergAcheffe)) told me to download 7zip 4.65 version, and it actually worked (well atleast i hope for everybody else :D ). I'm able to do custom sounds again! So, to celebrate this, here is newest pack with 8 new sounds, enjoy!

Well, it's not long time before my friend noticed something odd: on the default pack there was wrong announcer playing gamestarting-sound. I also cleaned up folders so it's about 1 mb smaller packet :) If you are wondering what means "resourcersMurrersPickV71" that's just simply because I thought making it new version isn't really necessary.

Hi guys! First of all: sorry for not updating this mod. I've been working with it past week to get more hero select music for you :) And my second thing comes to that: it's hard, really hard. For example: what music would you use to Gauntlet? Or Sand Wraith? Or Tremble? With this question, i'm delaying this project even more because it's hard to find fitting song. On the other hand, i have found 5 more sounds, and 1 of the is Tempest, which is in my opinion hard to find something to with it, but i think it's awesome :) But yeah, i will search for while, and if i don't find anything new i will release those 5 sounds for you guys, you have been waited long enough.
