The situation
Gaining extra gold for randoming in AP can cause a lot of controversy. A lot of people do it because they simply can't decide/think of a hero to play. Of course this doesn't always end well.
The Suggestion
I propose the random button no longer gives extra gold in AP but you can modify which heroes it allows (for all modes except AR).
The Specifics
-You'd be able to modify this during picking phase as well as out of game. Out of game it would be accessed through Hero Compendium.
-During picking phase, each hero portrait would have a small icon in the other bottom corner like the alt skin one but something like <die icon>. Clicking this would toggle whether random will consider that hero and change the icon to have a slash through it or similar if toggled off.
-This icon would also exist in the simple hero list of Hero Compendium and preferably in the Detailed hero list too but not on the portrait in that case.
-When the picking phase begins, the heroes would default to how you've modified them in the Hero Compendium. This would carry over to all modes including BD/RD/SD but not AR.
-AR can remain how it's always been.
