I agree with the Pebbles comment, but I regret to inform you that we don't make those decision here :(

Now on to your problem... Could you do me a favor and upload a console.log? Upload the zipped console.log to http://tools.heroesofnewerth.com/upload.php

After that, I'd like to figure out if the problem you are having is related to the patch or just an awkward coincidence.

Addressess: 174.36.178.85

Is that the only address you found? There should be 3

You have to post a link to the uploaded console.log

With the nslookup this is what you should be getting:

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: masterserver.hon.s2games.com
Addresses: 174.36.178.86
174.36.178.84
174.36.178.85Since you didn't get those IPs follow these steps

On Windows:
1) Browse to the hosts file using the following paths:

My Computer -> C Drive (or whatever your primary drive that the windows

installation is on) -> Windows -> System32 -> drivers -> etc -> hosts

2) Right click the hosts file and open with notepad.

3) Look for masterserver.hon.s2games.com. If it exists remove it.

Repeat the nslookup I showed you above.

If it still doesn't list the correct IPs I have some more tests we can do.

CNetDriver::SendPacket() - An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.

You've got a firewall blocking HoN.

You said you got a fritz box. Open the ports for hon in there properly, so you can login again.

You'll need to allow outgoing traffic to ports TCP:80 (login/update), TCP:11031 (chatserver) and UDP:11235-11335 (game servers).
