Hello HoN community,

today we’ve opened the registration for our first weekly based HoN tournament. This will be a 5 vs. 5 tournament with a price pool of 300€. Starting on the 29th of April 18:00 CET we will play all rounds, except for the final, which will be played on the 30th of April 16:00 CET. Since it is a weekly tournament, all rounds will be played as BO1, except for the final which will be a BO3.

For more information about the tournament, the rules and how you can register, please visit www.geeksports.tv (http://www.geeksports.tv)

Please also take a look at this post: Geeksports.tv is looking for staff! (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=249429). Geeksports.tv is still looking for help.

Thanks for your attention and gl hf in our tournament.

The rules are written in extremely poor English and don't include banning Ancient pulling.

Also Higher seeded team has to go Legion?

I guess 10/10 for the effort if this is a troll.

Hi ItsBehindYou!

Thanks for the advice about the rule. We will seriously consider adding it.
What's wrong with the Legion side? We'd be glad to hear your opinion!
It's not a troll :) but our first tournament. Therefore not everything's perfect. We'll try our best, but our english will probably stay poor ;)

Does Manchester United play all their games away from home because they're good at football? Regardless of how good a team is, sides and first/second pick should be determined by a roll. I'm all for people making new tournaments because the more the better, but if you want anybody decent to sign up you should make a decent set of rules. You're offering prizes which will attract decent teams, the high level games will then attract casters which will give your tournaments popularity and following, which attracts sponsors so you can keep prize pools available. You won't get any of that with a dumbed down ruleset.

Also, most submit buttons on your website seem to be completely broken. It might just be my IE, though, I'll try again later on Mozilla and Chrome.

I'm sorry but your rules just make me rofl so hard I don't think anyone is going to take you seriously.

You got a point there.

We're working on it. Thanks for the hint.

If you could give us a more precise description, we'll try to fix it.

I'm glad we made your day ;)
But seriously: as said before we're working on it and we're open for suggestions.

Thank you very much. You are probably right, three hours might not be enough. We rescheduled our tournament: only the final will be played on saturday the 30th of April at 16:00 CET, to assure that there's no interference with the GameReplays tournament.

We hope this is in your best interest.

Thank you for the information. We've changed it. The "register for tournament" button will now direct you to the page where you can sign up your team.

Hey everyone!

After some input from the community we decided to review and edit the rules for our upcoming HoN tournament. We still tried to keep the rules as simple as possible, but some changes were necessary, thanks to all the advisers.

I'm not shure why you mention sunday. The main part of the tournament will take place on friday, the final will be held on saturday.

When are you posting brackets, and where?

We're working on getting the brackets online as soon as the registration closes (at 16:00 CET tomorrow). But since our system is not that flexible yet, it might not happen until the actual start of the tournament. The brackets will be visible on the tournament page (www.geeksports.tv/tournament/4 (http://www.geeksports.tv/tournament/4)).

When I try to invite people to my team on the website, it just says sending invite... and my friend does not get an invite anywhere please help!

Normally, there's an error or a success message after the "sending invitation" text.
The person you want to invite needs to have an account on our website first, you can't invite anybody before that. As soon as you sent the invite they will then get a "pending invitation" on top of the website, which they need to accept. Please try again and contact us if it's still not working.

Since there's only 24 hours left before the start of our first HoN tournament, we thought we'd announce the so-far registered teams. Please beware that the registration for entering the tournament is open until tomorrow (friday, the 29th) 16:00 CET. Entering the tournament after that time will not be possible.

To all participants: please make shure that one player of your team checks-in 15 minutes before the start. This will be possible at 17:45 CET via the "check-in" link on your team overview (www.geeksports.tv/team (http://www.geeksports.tv/team)).

Registered so far are:

Divine Circles
FlowerPower
Gameburg Team
HELLAS
Jokes On You So Deal With It
Loek utan drickz
Nois que Voaa
Stora klubban kostar fem
Syrian imbas
Team Shady

We’re sorry, but it looks like technology is not on our side :( Our tournament system doesn’t work the way we planned it to do, so we decided (our plan B) to build the brackets via challonge.com. Please check out http://challonge.com/geeksports to see who you’re playing against. Also please remember to message the game ID to one of the admins, after the game.

I give you a 0/10 for the troll but as Pillows bit on it I guess you can have a 6/10.
