How many Support/Int heroes?

Typical "balanced" team build is..

At least 1 carry. (Agi/Strength)
At least 1 support/healer. (Int)
At least 1 ganker/roamer/disabler. (Int/Strength)
At least 1 initiater/tanker. (Strength/(Some ints with blinkdagger).
Tempest or Jereziah.

Try not to have two melee to a lane. Also, try to have a ranged hero solo.

A "good" team composition will depend completely on what the other team has. You don't even *need* a carry to win games.

Unless they have a carry and you fail to win quickly enough, which I think is something you should always account for.

What exactly are counted as carries? I've seen conflicting opinions :p

carry : gear dependent hero

hard carry : very gear dependent, very strong influence late game, usually babysat or jungle

semi carry : strong influence throughout all game especially midgame, can fulfill other roles such as gank and push, usually solomid
