I wanted to use this item, I have yet to get it on a hero until today.
So i joined a game, with that item gold in mind, and I had NO clue who to get it on. Blood hunter for his ult? Naw, they usually move anyways, and kinda waste of gold. So, I just hit the random button, and low and behold I get Demented Shaman.
Soo okay, so this item takes a steam staff and a +10 to int item, I can't get any of that yet, soo, i'll just just a few int bracers (playing non Em of course!)
well, I go to bottom lane, start harassing and last hitting, laned with axe, which seamed cool with my heal and all. Axe ended up being kinda a noob, and tend to ran away. I was lanning ageist Devourer and Predator, ouch!
I gave first blood :( so i finished a few bracers, teleported down, killed some creeps, denied...go gank, bla bla bla...and soon I had a brand new Tablet of Command!
So, in my first usage, we where ganking mid, w/ the first tower down. we had no stunner, (besides my mini stun) so when we ganked, we had no way to get it started.. Well, I "leaped" down a cliff to get the slow on the hero, which all my allies came and raped race (gogo scout!) and from there on, I think I used it every CD. Think of it as a Ghetto portal key that give a int chaser (like I was building my guy) +10 damage, +10 int +10 attack speed, All good stats for this guy.
If i ever got that hero again, I would deffently get that Tablet. it gives a nice early boost to dmg (20 for int!) and attack speed and mana. Also, the leap is REALLY useful, you can jump down hill, stop people from channeling, get that nasty melee off you, help kite ect ect.
Get it, try it, report what you guys think!

Anyone see try this? i just used it for the first time today Good results! awesome on a int caster who likes to chase.
Lets see: Tablet of Command - Force Staff: +10 Intelligence +10 Damage +10 Attack Speed
Use: Pushes target 500 units in the direction it is facing. Range 800, mana cost 25, cooldown 25 seconds.
Steamstaff- 900
Neophyte's Book - 1000
Tablet of Command Recipe - 300
Total Price - 2200
Or to compare to this
Riftshards - Crystalys: +35 Damage and had a 10% critical strike for 1.75x damage.
Broadsword - 1200 gold
Punch Dagger - 500 gold
Riftshards Recipe - 500 gold
Total Price - 2200 gold
What do you think is better for a early game damage for a int hero? I go for the Tablet, the use effect REALLY helps when you wana get a stun off, or from running away, and you only really lose 15 damage, and the chance to crit, but you gain mana, 10 attack speed and this effect.
you guys should try it once, and see how it work.
I don't know why you're comparing it to riftshards on an int caster, even if they cost the same.

Why why WHY would you even consider getting crit and physical damage on anything but maybe 10% of int heroes?

So far, i could imagine PuppetMaster using it to get somone in range for his spells.
Otherwise, Enchantress port.
BloodHunter / Arachna can use it against people with TPs, damage from ult is just a bonus for BH.
Any supporter.

riftshard gives the most Damage per gold spent, just a quick comparison.

800 range? i dont think ill ever get this item tbh, if it caused damage with Bloodhunters ulti then yes maybe but it doesnt, tho Idejder was open to suggestion of such a change :)
Or if it dragged people back rather than pushed then ye.

Get Tablet of Command on Nymphora and push them into your Pod for the lulz

Getting it on Puppet Master might be good so he has a legitimate escape mechanism.
A poor one, yes, but combined with Hold and Show you should be able to get away from most bad situations.

They would have to be running AT your pod to be able to do that. Usually they are running the exact opposite way.

Hmm... I never even thought about "pushing" yourself to escape... I can see that being useful even though the range is short. If you can blink into some trees or over a cliff you'll probably get away.
My initial thoughts for this item were early gank/initiate, but the range is kinda bad for it.
For the early gank, use it in combo with a stun hero. When they're last hitting near your tower, wait till they face into it, then push into the tower range and stun them there. (And hope the tower aggros them :/ )
For initiate, pull one of their support heroes out of the pack when they face up to your team. Maybe Thunder or Moon Queen when they step up to get a quick nuke off. Push them into your whole team.

And Force Staff Devourer is pretty much the most hilarious build ever.

Congratulations, you are in my sig. If they have a nicknaming feature i would use this for tablet of command.
Anyways, using this item is like an extremely sensitive version of soulstealer's method of casting demon hand. Requires just the right angle but very difficult to predict enemy turns, which can shift the angle massively. You can end up helping an enemy escape.
However, it is a FUN item. Lots of fun. Can be fairly decent at support function on allies. If you have teamspeak or something similar, you could manage epic escapes through cliffs, impassable etc..
BUT im some situations, it will be extremely good to have - against channelling ults like devourer, getting 'painful' heroes further away like magmus and torturer etc.. In this respect, tablet of command is very one three three seven and should be gotten more often.
Ghetto portal key.

force staff is pretty much like valkyrie leap, except without the boost in ms and ias.

it also destroys trees in your path
i'd get it on a lot of heros but 100 mana cast is pretty steep for some

This is a great defensive item if you're playing vs a good Behemoth who cuts off escape routes. Just jump over his fissures and keep running. Same with playing vs a good Pharoah. Unlike portal key there's no cooldown while you're getting hit. That little jump has saved my ass many a time from a sure death.
The best was when I was soloing mid on Hellborne with Thunderbringer and a 4-man gank came from all sides (Noob teammates with their lack of MIA calling skills, lol) I had about 20HP left with no escape routes so I pushed myself into kongor and denied the other team a kill. It was pretty sweet.

I did this at lvl1 in a 1v1. It was hilarious, and kept him scared of facing me for the rest of the laning phase.

This item is great for Kraken. Helps his mana issues and the synergy with his ult is obvious!
I also found out you can leap out of Pharaoh walls with this, so it's a good item to consider if you are against Pharaoh.

This item is underrated by the general public, there are alot of uses for it some1 said
electrian i have to agree only you have to get it early, and its the same for many
heroes i guess every1 with a hold skill slow.
I have only ever tryed this item with kraken, after patch it was brilliant i blinked in to
there team and had 3 heroes in the ulti, arachna was outside it shoting at me i used
table on here and then finished the ulti and ended up with 2 kills for me and 2 kills for
our plauge rider ;).
I don't recommend this item for everyone to use, i requires some skill and timing. As
well as good game sence, ask yourself this question before buying table of command
"Will i benefit from the push vs. this team?" also " Can i controll the awsomeness that
is table of command?" i find myself saying no to both questions alot. Table of
command is a good item on rare occasions, therefore you should not get it as a core
item on any hero, get it for the lols or if you need a escape abillity ;)

Tablet of command doesn't synergize with BH ultimate?
Well sad, but it still cancels your victims' Homecoming Stone / TP / Travel / Post Haste.
If you then can't finish off an enemy that takes damage when walking and is silenced, ask yourself if you ganked the right enemy.

Cancels ANY channeling spell/ability/item etc.
The only bad thing is that it stops the heroes movements. So an ally walking to mid who has his screen watching mid will have his hero stopped. Minor compared to all the benefits.

It's a cool item I just wish it didn't have a recipe cost.
Don't forget you can use it on allies and enemies. Funny to pop an ally out of mummies or use it on someone who is channeling etc.

It indeed seems to be a quite useful item. Any true comp players in here care to enlighten us to its real uses?
