Resizing Images in Forum Posts

I've been trying to place item images in my guides, and I'm pulling them from the official HoN item lists. Unfortunately, they are gigantic, and some are different sizes. When I'm editing, I can resize the images to look ok, but when I save the post, they remain at their original gigantic size.

Is there a way to make the image resize work in forum posts?

For example:

both linked directly form the item database but different sizes.

The reason they are different sizes, by the way, are because many of the item images in this game are from S2's other game, Savage 2: A Tortured Soul. The item/skill pictures in that game were apparently made smaller than those of HoN.

For example, Thunderclaw's icon is the shapeshifter's Static Discharge ability icon in Savage 2.

Yeah, while resizing in the message-editor appears to work it actually won't work.
You need to download the pictures, resize them with any image program and then re-upload them somewhere and use it from there.
