So, pretty much my new favorite, even though the ult is really dull.
However, item build is always quite versatile, and I'm curious as to what everyone thinks is a good idea to go.
I usually find myself going one of these two:
:RunesOfTheBlight: :RunesOfTheBlight:
:HealthPotion: :RunesOfTheBlight:
:GuardianRing: :GuardianRing:
:MinorTotem: :MinorTotem:
:MinorTotem: :MinorTotem:
:MinorTotem: :MinorTotem:
:ManaPotion: :MinorTotem:
:ManaPotion:
Then:
:RingOfTheTeacher: :Steamboots: :PowerSupply: :NomesWisdom: :KuldrasSheepstick:
(Bottle if mid)
After that, I really am clueless. I'm thinking either Harkons or Frostwolf Skull. Harkons looks quite nice, while I fear that Skull will most of the time mean I have a pretty gimped damage. The main appeal is the slow, as it's at times hard to gank without another player. Savage Mace is also a potential pickup, as is Charged Hammer and Hellflower. So, when would you get what? I fear most items will make her into paper, but after Nomes and Stick it should in theory not be that bad.
Anyone know what's the most dps efficient option?
not sure upgrading to nomes is worth it, and honestly it all depends on what role you are playing or intend to play.
what role aluna is most effective at is another ENTIRE debate all by itself.
however one item you didn't mention is SH which i feel is pretty much core on her if you intend on playing in any sort of carry capacity, be it semi or more. judging by the fact that you are talking big items, i'll go with that assumption.
you get charged hammer when you previously got a fast thunderclaw. aim for a fast thunderclaw if you are farming really well. you don't have to upgrade it to charged hammer until later, after you secure important items like SH.
don't get harkons with sheepstick. harkons is best when you are emphasizing dps and items that increase your attack speed. if you have your core + sheepstick, and can somehow afford another huge item, i would say frostfield would be a better choice than harkons, and would provide better synergy with that setup.

thunder claw/lightning hammer is also good due to her chain stun giving heaps of attack speed

Hmm, true, I think it costs more than 603 gold too. Uh, remove a Minor Totem and I think it's correct.
Also, to everyone that just said random items. Uh, what about no. I want to be educated as to why. Yeah, Hellflower is a good item. What makes it better than the rest? Why should Aluna use it, when barely any other hero does? Or the quoted Astro for that matter. If it's "because Windrunner does", then that's not a good reason, Nome's doesn't even exist in that game. As NW gives me more damage and mana regen, I feel it's the better choice, in addition to not having RoTT taking up an extra bag slot.

It's an option, but unless it's necessary to survive, they might just ignore you at that point as your damage won't really be spectacular. However, both it and Nullstone are viable in certain scenarios.

Sounds reasonable. Although I'd argue that the whole sapping your mana with each hit makes Harkons counterproductive with Attack Speed over longer fights. But I can't say I like the idea of Frostfield all that much.
jojoflow seemed to get Kuldra, Hellflower, Whispering Helm and Savage Mace against MSI in game 2.

all items with extra attack speed are better on aluna (and magebane, and, to a lesser extent, war beast), since they give more attacks per second per unit of attack speed. thats why hellflower is better on aluna than other int carries, since she gets everything they get and more.
generally you'll be supporting a harder carry so items like fws and ffp/dbp are great since in that case your purpose is making the enemy carry's job harder rather than ripping through support in 2 seconds flat.

If you're getting Nome's Wisdom for the damage, you're doing it wrong.

Astrolabe gives 95hp from the strength, and +250hp through activation. HP gain in a single instance is 345hp, along with armour as well.
No, you don't get it "because Windrunner does". You get it because you can support the mana cost of an item that offers AMAZING benefits for its price range. To get the kind of survivability from Nome's that an Astrolabe gives you, you would need to expend 1380 mana. Early mana regen is meh for a hero with 2.8int gain. It's not a difficult choice to make.
