what are the best harrasing ranged heroes? and how to encounter them if you are melee hero?

Arachna is the best for early game lane harrasment. And if you're melee you're pretty much screwed unless u have a babysitter.
Demented Shammy is another pain in the arse for Melee.

Plague Rider is annoying too
But yeah it's hard to "counter" this if you're soloing, just get lots of regen or get a babysitter yourself

i would not call a 400hp no escape mech arachna the best, the orb is nice but not unbearable
total lane control range wise is won thru not just aggressive melee harassment.
You also need to give them the perception that if they get anywhere near the creeps they are in immediate danger and have no choice but to lose the xp/gold
keeping this in mind, ranged heros with very good range/animation and potential dmg output that has to be respected

Dual Stun lanes
Stun + Jester lanes
Disable + Swiftblade lanes
Snare + DPS lanes
etc etc.
The counter to these is Nymphora and staying the **** away from them unless you're under your tower.
Arachna by herself is only dangerous against bad players who wander up 3 screens from their tower and cry when they can't make it back under its protection.

Best counter to ranged heroes:
Farm under tower protection, draw creep aggro if the creeps are too far away.
Pull neutral camps if possible.
Combo the ranged hero down to 30% of his hp; go back to farming until you have the combo again.
Repeat.

Arachna is only good versus a Melee with no nukes or harassing ability of their own.
For example, Predator/Jera is quite effective against Arachna in a lane.

Anyone with a long range, decent base damage or animation, spammable slow/nuke, good movement speed is a good harasser.

Blood Hunter is a viable melee solo hero if you can lasthit well (a Hatchet helps a ton.)

Only if your enemies are stupid enough to
a) not gank him
b) not double lane against him.
(He has a singletarget-ulti, singletarget-silence, relies on lasthitting for regen)

yeah best early game harasser is demented shaman without a doubt. Especially against melees. Any melee going for a last hit is going to get heal bombed in the face.

arachna is good even in range vs range. So yeah in range vs melee she'll make you go back to fountain after just 4 mins.
arachna > demented. orb walking to death. Demented shaman might be annoying but he can't finish you off in anyway.

Denying as well as you can is the best counter, because ranged heroes lose significantly more exp from denied creeps than melee ones do.

Early lvls Shaman still has the advantage due to cooldown of webbed shot and equal attack range. If Arach tries to orb walk just throw an entangle and you are safe again and probably did more damage. Also he can heal himself while Arachna cannot. Too bad Mana Battery got fixed to not give charges on webshot, otherwise Shaman would have infinite mana to heal himself if she tried to harass.
However once lvl 6 hits and you can ult Shaman's reign is over. However he could still entangle Arach, throw hide on himself and heal as he runs from the spiderling and have a high chance to survive.chrome://dictionarytip/skin/book.png

armadon with his damage reduce and aoe ability

blood hunter with last hit healing and harras silence
magebane with blink
nighthound with fast lvl 6 invis and blinkstrike harras

Thing is in 5v5/4v4 game is easy and your team mates can easily carry you, but since I tried 1v1, I got owned and was about to break my iMac because the Puppet master, kept hitting me/denaying and last hitting I was playing as jerezaiah, and since the winer in 2v2/1v1 matches is the last hitter/denying maniacs because they will farm much faster and gain so much level then you are pretty much screwed :(
