Slither: One of the most versatile heros?

I have found that :slit: would have to be one of/the most versatile heros in the game in the way he is played. I found he can be an awesome support (his main role generally), a sweet ganker but also a carry around the mid game area. thoughts?

So stronk early, strong mid, still a threat late game. Can fill multiple roles. No one seems to mind if u get wasted in a team fight if u get ult off. haha

a GOOD carry late game , no.

Hence why he's my most played hero. Almost OP if played well. Just played against one in a recent game where he went straight up carry, for some reason it worked. he got lifesteal though, which was pretty retarded.

Slith has to be one of my favorite heroes, since he has a great attack animation it makes for easy last hits and great harassing, while his dps allows you to kill fleeing enemies without chasing them into a tower, not to mention his ult can drop most heroes to under 10% with ease. spellshards make his a little WTF worthy. only annoying thing is that his passive is an attack mod, which kinda bugs me, but if you also have a damp on your team he can carry until lvl 20 abouts.

He's only truly strong in 1v1 lanes, but aside from that, you're looking at a hero with 450 range, no disables, no escape mechanism, and relatively poor overall stats. All this was balanced due to his amazing skill set, but he's been nerfed quite a bit over the past 12 months. Still a great hero, but the award for versatility probably belongs to :phar: :valk: :witc: :madm: :wret:.

If you can play :vood: :deme: :pred: :accu: :warb: :jera: :swif: very well, then slither is done.

hes way too forgiving to play and should be nerfed. got a noob on your team? tell him to pick slither and autoattack melee heros in the lane, and then when big red dots cluster up on the map hit r and die. ez.

Biggest annoyance to me is the fact that toxicity PREVENTS REGEN for the duration of the poisin. Oh you just ate a tree? auto attack and he basically pwns a little over half the regeneration you would have gotten from that tree. not to mention your natural regen as well.

The ol' good days when Poison Spray had 1000 range at lvl 1 and he could store up to 3 charges in wards, ahhh.. if only i knew then what i know now.. :(

before you take spray. :P Oh will they ever rage. Some lanemate who was getting Swifted to death is all 'first skill?!' and I told him to shut up...even if I had taken it that game, of course, doesn't go through spin so **** him for not knowing that.

I don't do that anymore, I take one rank early, but I really liked it better gettin the wards up sooner...so good for pushing and annoying the **** out of opponents. Either way though don't take more than one level of Spray early, it's such a mana hog and you just can't sustain it til you pick up a Nome's or something

You don't need to 'spam' spray. What makes you think you would?

Spray gets more range i.e. easier to land, especially on multiple heroes, and significantly more damage. Going wards means that you're annoying, but really lack the killing power and/or disabling ability that a 50% slow deals.

Do you have vision problems or difficulty with reading comprehension??

Because I'm pretty sure I asked how he is versatile and never made an argument one way or the other. The only roles I see a Witch playing is disabler/nuker? Unless I have brain damage and I'm missing something.

If he had 600 range he'd be imba.
You've never seen shroud slither? Shroud is so easy to farm up with slith. ~15min
And honestly, how would a disable fit with him?
...So, he's not imba. But he's still really good?

I started playing slith after his ward nerf and such and I'd say he's a very strong mid, a great side lane support and a nice sneaky little ganker. he fits most of the roles you'd HOPE an AGI hero could.

I shut down a 2 v 1 lane with him a while back, I ended up dominating the pebbles in lane, out levelled the hell out of him and killed him probably 3 or 4 times in laning phase solo.

Then again, I played against one as Hammer and FA, and with his lack of escape and stun we easily overrode him. I could easily stun, get a few hits and eat a spray while FA immobilized. Got FA probably about 4 or 5 kills in laning phase against him.

Very strong vs melee, but very vulnerable against stunners / immobilizers who can get the jump.

I hope it's not just a joke from S2 and we actually see this new Avatar, I'm stockpiling my coins for that. Aside to Pyro and Valk alt avatars these will be best spent coints in HoN so far :)
