Playstar.se server?

Well I'm not sure if this should be in the Bug Reports thread and if not please redirect me xD but recently i joined a matchmaking game and was at a constant 290ping. I live in Eastern US and i very rarely even reach 190 ping when I play on an EU server. I'm wondering where exactly a Playstar.se server is located and why they are used

These boxes are located in Sweden and are used as part of the European matchmaking system as they provide excellent pings for Europeans.
