This is Sanctuary of Heroes v2.
A 5v5 map but with alot of discussion about it being a 6v6 or 7v7 due to
its size and extra lane, since this is not possible (yet) we have to do with 5v5.
As sad this map has 4 lanes and in the middle Kongor.

When i made the first version of this map i learned alot about the editor and coudn't withstand
remaking it and this is the end result, it still has some scripting faults like kongor respawn and no water.
Since iam really bad at scripting and just do this because i like to design maps i wont be able to
fix the problems, but if it will be published they will ofc correct it.

This map is awesome! I really like the concept, there are a couple of changes that I would suggest, namely a couple more creep camps and more juking places with trees and more paths through cliffs.
I think it would be good to try to synchronize the creep spawns so they reach the "river" (ignoring lack of water) at the exact same time.
I think the kongor pit should be bigger, just by a little bit. It doesn't have a lot of maneuverability in there, especially if both teams end up fighting there.
Finally, here is a major flaw that I found: The two towers guarding the hellbourne main building are not invulnerable. I am not sure about the legion side, but I think that it has the same problem. I believe those towers must be invulnerable until at least one set of towers guarding the barracks are down.
Also on that note, I might suggets three towers guarding the main building, if support for 6 or 7 player teams is added, more heroes warrants more defense.
Just some things to consider for version 3 8^) If I think of more, I'll post.
Also, I can see tremble being totally amazing on this map.

Very nice. It's different without ignoring the basic fundamentals.
I do agree that the Kongor pit needs to be larger and you may want to close off some of the tree areas around the 1st towers to allow for ganking and juking.
Other than that, well done. I'd like to see how the mechanics would work out in a real match, especially if one side takes a jungler. I'm not sure if S2 will be adding player capacity any time soon, but, if they do, this map would be an excellent 6v6/7v7 start.

If you're going to make a map that size you should fix the kongor problem of it being on hellbourne side. either put it up on a hilltop in the middle of river and bend the river around it in that area or do two kongor areas with 1 on each side on opposite sides of the map.

i dont like the idea of doing 2 kongors but it being on a hilltop i conciderd and tried but liked without it better. when i made it i fixed the river first and its equally big on both sides after that i put kongor, i tried putting kongor in the middle but then i would have needed to make the river bigger, what i didn't want.
Well i presume if this realy would be published (what i doubt because i dont think they will be changed the maxplayers very soon) then they will change some juke spots, creep spots, kongor and things like that after some good testing with 5v5 or more.

Honestly considering how fast Grimm Crossing fell out of popularity, I don't think a 7v7 players map would have good queues on the MM. Grimm requires half the players yet no one plays it because people are too comfortable in Forest of Caldavar to shake things up. Personally I'd like to play it more often but none of my friends like it :(

In my opinion Grimms Crossing isn't played a lot because of the fact that the map is so
small and needs a different way of playing.
I personally prefer Darkwood Vale much more, I have always to play "public games" with
my friends (2on2 and 3on3), because the map is much better, would like to see that
they replace Grimms Crossing with Darkwood Vale in MM.
But thats just my opinion.
Back to topic, this map is still very nice and I like to repeat, the detail level is awesome =)

Yes actually it is the same map as Caldavar but i changed it.
About it being 2 hour games, i dont think this will happen very often because of the 2 lane creeps becoming 1 and will do massive dmg to the towers.
Well this will all be balanced after some good testing.

Nice map ! I think this would be the best casual map out their, if it was 7vs7. The bigger the army.. the smaller individual performance importancy is. So I mean less presure makes for a relaxing game for once.

i kind of agree with u but i think its not always like that, if ur playing against 7 organized players vs 4 and 3 who are just f*cking around i think it will be a quick and brutal game.

Individual failures are insulated by increased player numbers not the other way around.

ur right about the Juke spots, here is a map that i made with them all marked in red, possible i could have missed some. U are probably right that there are not enough Juke-spots but ill leave that up to the professionals to decide where they should be.

The towers are imo just the right distance from the ramp.
I didn't add Runes because i didn't know where to put them, i thought it would be just a little bit to much of it all. but hell they can always be added later.

Downloaded this map and it was awesome really!
I did however manage to kill a hut or house between the legion secret shop and ancients, dunno exactly how it happened, I was playing the new ninja hero on practice.

To everyone saying that they would love to see 6v6 or 7v7, did you ever play a 6v6 Dota game? It can be very frustrating since you add in the damage potential of a 6th hero, which means more burst/stun/cc, but not more HP for the heros involved. Right now hero damage output, health, and items are all balanced around 5 players max. Going lower than 5 doesn't impact it as badly as it slows the game down. Adding more can cause lots of frustration as it turns into an insta-gib fest.

You can only play custom map in practice mode. This mean that you can't play this online.

This is very well done. I'd like to see if that ever becomes implemented.
- Kong in the middle of the map
- Lanes join to further encourage pushing

Well, when we started playing beta, we did cuz we were promised a fast implementation of custom games. We have the maps, players are making them. Lots of ppl left HoN cuz they lost their patience waiting for CG, which would really boost some game ratings. Think, decide, and do it, it's been 2 years already...

Show me a 3v3 game that takes longer than a typical 5v5 game. I'm interested. Every 3v3 game is over in at least 20 minutes where as a 5v5 game can take as long as 50 to 60 minutes. I've never seen a 3v3 game that is slower than a 5v5 game. There's less room to spend running around and a higher frequency of earning gold because its so much closer to the bases.

This map looks amazing but I have a few problems with it. For one, there's no way to get to the river from in between the lanes. There's also a lack of ways to get from one of the lanes to the other than the river and a few areas in the forest that require treechopping:legi:.

Well i did that on purpose because there are more lanes, they are closer to each other and there are more players, this makes ganking more easy. Thats why i made it a little bit harder to get from one lane to another.
Hope this makes any sense

- The big channel in the center of the map looks a little boring, you should either put a river in there or customize it a little more with rocks and other textures. I don't know if it's possible to insert a river that starts flowing outside of the map and runs all the way down to the other corner of the map, and then you could put in bridges for more visual effects. But that's just my thoughts on it.
All in all a great map and 6vs6 would also be great. I hope S2 will take a closer look on that map and insert it into the game.

I completely agree with u, but when i made this map there wasn't an easy way to add water (river). i'am sure when they want to implemented this map they will add the water, its quite easy now.
About the Neutral Creep Spawns, i really had a hard time because i really hate coding and things like that, i prefer to focus more on the balance of the map and how it looks
