View Full Version : Please don't -only- use item images in your guides

I've been seeing this in many guides lately, and it causes a lot of problems as there are no mention as to what the items are (and with broken item images, no way to find out). For example, you will see a "core build" section with no mention of what items are supposed to be there, since the images are broken. Please keep this in mind when writing guides, that a lot of the times the images may not be available / loaded, and it can't hurt to just type up what you are hotlinking.

or just type the name of the item under/above the image in the guide?

This makes a great deal of sense.

Use item links from honwiki so that they are not broken.

Which is another problem, in a way. I love having the guides here to use, but some of them end up just confusing newbies more than helping. If your'e that pro, is it really that hard to write the guide for the game your actually playing?

Totally agree with OP; hate looking up guides and all the images are broken and I can't figure out what they're explaining in their notes :S

"You have exceeded your bandwith."
I've often had to look at image links to figure out what items were being suggested because of that evil picture.
