Lag Spikes

Hello all,

Here are my specs:

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro6,2
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 4 GB

So here is my problem. The games performance is absolutely perfect. There is no crashing/bugs or anything of that nature that calls into question the coding of the game. My problem is lag spikes, which are so bad I can't play the game.

There is a large chance this is on my end. In other words, I think my network card might have problems keeping the bandwidth consistent for gaming. This is even more evident when I run games on Bootcamp as the spikes are atrocious, but anything non-gaming related I can absolutely never tell. My ISP is Verizon FIOS and it's quite good to be honest.

If anyone else experiences lag spikes with their Mac and know a fix whether it's something to do with HoN specifically or via OS X please let me know!
