mouse freezing

For the last week I have been problems with my mouse but only in HoN. Whenever I'm in a game, my mouse will freeze up as I move the mouse to the right side of the screen, so my camera keeps scrolling to the right and it takes about 3 seconds to adjust itself. I'm on Windows Vista, I have had a working Logitech mouse for 2 years, and I have been playing HoN without problems for almost a year now.

Did a recent HoN patch conflict with my mouse? I tried swapping my mouse to a different USB port and that didnt help. I tried installing a driver off the Logitech web site. My hard disk has over 20 gigs free. And I have 4gb of RAM. Again, this problem started a week ago.

EDIT: I doubt it's a hardware issue because the mouse responds very fast when I go up and down and side to side. I only encounter temporary freezing when I move the mouse to the right edge of the screen when HoN is open.

How long has this issue been persisting for?

Have you recently installed any HoN modifications? What HoN modifications do you currently use, if any?

i switched to a new mouse and the problem went away, but i cant imagine it being an issue with mouse hardware......

Could've been a hardware defect; mice are pretty sturdy (well, discounting the terrible rollerball mice) . . . but they can break/mess up from time to time.
