I've been banned for no given reason.
I was wondering if it could be explained to me.
It appears to show me that I'm banned if I spend too long editing a post.

I freaked out the first time this happened to me, but then I just refreshed the page and it went through to the original thread.

I believe it happens if you try to access the beta forum or beta threads while not logged in. (You're never really banned.)

Would be nice if the cookies were changed so that I could be logged in indefinitely so that it doesn't do the permanently banned thing. Since longer posts typically extend past the set expiration time.

This is why I suggest guide writers in my forum to use notepad and then pasting afterwards

With phpbb forums that is what I do since I know all the bbcodes.
Does this forum support html formatting?
If so then I could also use that.

There is a 'Remember Me' check box when you log in ;)

Programming HTML or JavaScript sucks with wordpad, even batch files... Notepad is the end all be all b*****s! Respect your elders!

Here are a couple things that should help you out... First off is
BBCodeXtra (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/491) (Firefox Extension)
And the other one is a standalone BBCode Editor (Java)...
BBed (http://www.kyrsoft.com/downloads/downloads.html#Bbed) (Open Source by KyrSoft)
I don't know how either will help you that much but I'm sure you'll be able to figure them out...

EDIT: I'm still trying to figure out how to use BBCodeXtra so don't kill the messenger it's just an alternative I was hoping would help. Ok it seems as though for some odd reason the extension will not work with these forums so just omit that even though it's a great extension and works on every other forum I am a part of... It just won't do anything at all... How odd... Anyways carry on...
