how to counter a heavy agi team??

I know.. I'm a noob.. I only play in pubs..

but I find myself playing with lots of agi heroes very often.. like 3-4 in their team..

All I want to know is.. how to counter that heroes?


I play EM sometimes(when I don't have time/ don't want to play a game for almost 1hour, so please don't say " DO NOT PLAY EM", please), so even if we gank em, they are able to farm..

Gank them, outlane them, stop their farm, push fast, end early. I'm tempted to EM bash but I will restrain myself; just know that in EM, 5 AGI is the way to go.

Soulstealer owns every other agi hero if he lanes against them. If they pull out Arachna and your entire team starts moaning, get someone to pick Soulstealer if he she heads mid.

But seriously, not bashing them since they're actually fun when looking for a quick pick-me-up game, in EM games agis are rape.

Strength heroes with aoe: magmus, behemoth. Blow them the **** up.

A nice amount of AoE or nuke-heavy heroes should have them crying in the early game. You'll want to try to finish the game ideally before the 25-or-so minute mark.

yep like they said , a few nice disablers, succy, puppet(decentdmg to) and some heavy tanks that will literally make their carries cry. Jereziahs, devourers, things that can withstand tons of dmg (with 60+% armour)

in em games where there is no teamwork and everyone is ****ing retarded and terrible you can't counter mass carry teams because no one will push and you can't count on your team to stop them from farming so even if you can disable one or outlane one you'll still get owned later.

Better solution is to outcarry with a stronger carry.

I've had many games where the opp team picks were something like :

Swift / Arach / Valk / Night Hound / Moon Queen

Then my team will go :

Armadon / Keeper / TB / Pyro / Me?!?

So you'd suggest taking madman, try to outfarm them and win end game?

I go into EM games expecting zero team work and a huge waste of time.

Actually, I rarely go into EM games, but if I did, I would have those expectations.

In the lineup you've given, you should play Madman anyways since that team has no carry and Madman is arguably one of the strongest carries with early game presence as well.

I'm sorry but you are contradicting yourself.

First you say that you want to play EM. And then you say that they are always able to farm.

Playing EM means you get most of your gold as time passes, not by farming creeps. Even if you kill them, they still get a lot of gold while dead :D

So, really, stop playing EM.

If you want a quick game, I suggest joining noob games, stale mates are less common. 15 minute concedes are more common.

Easy mode is never going to give you a good balance. thunderbringer magmus tempest etc are good ways to counter agi. Stuns/disables/high aoe magic damage

Bring big AoE and big nukes. Shut them down early.

Thunderbringer and Defiler make almost all AGI heroes cry for mercy. Behemoth and Magmus likewise. You can also bring Jeraziah for Sol's Blessing, which is more or less 6 seconds of complete immunity to AGI hero damage.

I have actually found that EM games last longer then if you went into a Normal Noob or Noob allowed game. Simply because in the EM game if one team is losing they will still be getting items there for they will keep trying but in the normal noob games they wont have gold and they will keep dieing over and over so they concede alot earlier.

If you have no problem with backdooring, the larger amount of gold, the weaker towers and the fact that most ppl dont buy homecoming stones allow you to solo a creep production very fast !

I'm going to disagree with all the EM bashing.

I usually only have an hour a day to get a game in and I have generally found that EM games are shorter. If regular games don't concede in the first 20min they usually drag out to be more than 50min.

In EM games teams tend to get farmed fast after winning a team fight or two. This tends to lead to early victories.

I always play the game with the lowest ping, regardless of AP/RD/SD or EM/normal, and in general my EM games seem to be over with much quicker. People get strong and start pushing really quickly, and that is usually the deciding point in the game where one team concedes or not.

as they said.

1. pick a balanced team with a strong early-late agi like soulstealer or maybe madman etc. you win early,you win mid and you win late cause u have a hardcarry and farmed up teammates.

2. go heavy nuke/push team and just totally wtfbbquberhaxrape them before the 20 minute mark. there is nothing they can do. ofc only works if your team doesnt feed them early .

3. dont play -em


really 3+ agi teams are the easiest ones in the whole game to counter and beat.

If you play EM, AGI teams are strong since they can farm their final items so quickly. If you see an AGI team in a normal game, you can just push all lanes in their base and they can't do much to stop you. They lack the HP and regen for continuous fighting before 30-40 minute mark. If you prolong the game until that time, they become strong.
