How do I deal with this wretched Doctor Repulsive?

This hero is just ridiculous. I don't know what to do when he hits 6.

Can you give some useful tips against him? And, does S2 have any plan to nerf him?

Repulsor* and there is not really much you can do, I'd suggest just bad him. But if your team is coordinated enough you can try to get lots of disable and / or silences. Defi or vindi are pretty nice against him.

DR is bad compared with Storm Spirit from dota the one DR is copied from, because of the animations..

But yes, he is strong, after lvl 6 or at the time he get a high mana regen this is it, deal with it, surprise him like him surprise you, he is not OP he just is extremely hard to kill, team organization agains't him is the key =)

-Invest in an early mystic vestments.
-Ward the rune spots, especially after he hits six.
-Send Pebbles, Tundra, Witch Slayer, etc against him mid and instagib him whenever you can.
-Make sure you pick an excessive amount of disables so you can lock him down in teamfights.

Basically, if you give him full map control, he'll blink into your lane and gank you before you get a chance to react. If you see him coming, you can avoid the gank. If you lock him down with stuns/silences, you can focus him down before he ports away.

dr IS OP and is extremely good, i find the best efficient way to kill him is to crowd control him (instants are better). All hex/sheeps are great ways to start on DR, so if you see another team picking dr try and go ws or polly for hex and if you dont have hex then build a sheepstick

Edit: Just read the post above me, DO NOT send a melee mid against DR, and his passive orb ability does massive harass damage so you'll need a good amount of regen

witch slayer has 2 disables and mana drain (which should be maxed at some point against dr) his ult will drop him pretty fast too

vindicator has a global silence and an aura which stop dr from using his passive non stop

magebane will drain his mana and ult him for some big damage after hes done zipping around places

all are good pick ups against him

if you cant get them then buy :NullfireBlade::KuldrasSheepstick::Hellflower:

its preferred to get nullfire on a ranged carry like flint so he can keep hitting repulsor while he runs circles around your team

you know what is OP? getting lvl5 codex and lvl3 spellshards on Dr and flying in from A DIFFERENT LANE and one shoting heroes for 1800 damage, which will take down a hero with 1800 hp if they have no additional magic armor. this is how i roll, ive never had the honor of playing against a Dr with this build but my opponents tell me its like getting hit by a truck.

to mr daretheninja bh may have a great silence to counter the dr but at mid dr will rape bh. with Dr's spammable nuke and overload bh will never make it to the wave, never mind level 6. It's not like hag where she cant harass bh outta the lane, Dr definitely can. putting bh mid against dr will pretty much lead to a 18minute nullstone and a quick GG. aside from bh's inability to lane against dr the silence is indeed the best in the game and a good counter. in my experience playing Dr I would say the worst opponents to mid against are bubbles, TB, witchslayer, pyro. basically heavy nukers

Don't let him farm. Keep wards up at all times to avoid ganks. Gank him at mid early on. Killing him a couple times before he his 6 really screws his ability to gank as he needs decent farm.

Silences obviously as well.

DR is a very strong hero once he has gotten his farm up therefor the key point to playing against dr is having alot of crowd control (stuns / disable ) and gank him alot early on. Heroes such as witch slayer, pollywogg priest, puppetmaster. dark lady and other heroes with good stuns are good against doctor repulsor, try picking a lineup with mass disable. Also items such as sheepstick and especially HELLFLOWER are very strong items to counter doctor repulsor.

@tetsuji yessss, the dark lady... now that is a hero that can battle the Dr in team fights. definitely a threat to each other. In a team fight as Dr i would target TDL first most likely and then fly away before my stun is up. and as TDL i would certainly look to silence the Dr too.

Disables/silences are good counters to him. He is pretty useless without his ult, and he can't use it while being disabled,silenced,manadrained or whatever.

i absolutely agree. i think, though, that in this case individual skill could have some bearing on the matchup as well; a good bh can avoid mines and creep pull into the tower to avoid harass from dr. albeit a good dr will probably just smack an average bh upside the head, you're quite right.

Not to derail the thread or anything, but if someone gives a viable solution to controlling something you think is way too powerful, and all you can reply is "your psr suxxors noob." Only 3 things are possible:

a) You're just another guy who feeds and overextends then blames teammates for every one of your deaths because they didn't clean your dog's crap off your neighbor's driveway or something equally as asinine.

b) Your PSR is massively inflated and you are actually worse than the person you are flaming over something that really doesn't apply in the end in a very weak attempt to make yourself look better/regain your "pride".

c) You are a troll.

sheep, Witch slayer's miniaturize, Pollywog's morph and tongue-tied occur instantly. As does hellflower. He can't spam his ult against those things.
