Hi,

We're busy people so...

to the point.

I open HoN, it asks me to DL the latest patch.

I click "yes".

It goes to 100%.

HoN kinda closes, as usual, then it should go to a black screen with a big loading bar.

Instead of going there though. I have a windows pop-up asking me "Do you want to report a crash report?"

I say "yes".

It tells me that the crash report has been successfully sent! (joy)

End of the story.

This, ten times in a row for the last 20 patches.

The only solution for me is to re-DL the client from scratch.

Uninstalling, reinstalling, resetting my hotkeys, etc.

That is, if the latest patch is available in direct download.

When it's not. I just have to wait! (joy x 2)

As of today, it was a matter of 5 minutes in 95% of the cases, so I didn't mind _so_ much.

But today the new patch is not available on the site yet so I can't play and I find it a little annoying. Mostly considering how this forum is difficult to search through...

Can someone please help me?

One time. I downloaded the latest client from this here site here, and when the patch right after that came out I could DL it. The one after that didn't work tho. This was maybe 2.0.2.X but I couldn't tell for sure.

I thought I had solved the problem like the genius I am - but apparently both of these facts were not to be true.

oh the cruelty.

Please help me have my HoN fix.

edit: apparently 33% of your customers have the same problem. Let's try to fic this. Tell me if I can help by sending hardwares I use, etc.

Where did you get the 33% from? If this would be the case, there wouldn't be that much people online after a patch.

Anyway, S2 Games is aware of this issue and looking into it.
You can backup your hotkeys by saving the startup.cfg in the HoN-folder under Documents.

People reported they could download an older version of the client and update without problems, so they didn't have to wait for the latest client to be downloadable.

From the topic under me, that probably got it himself from his little angry mind.
That's not the point though. A lot of people have the same problem so it needs to be fixed. I'm glad it's being looked at. It's too bad that I couldn't join my friends on HoN for two days in a row. But you know what they say. Sometimes a problem solved is better than no problem at all. Make it true!

Well making up statistics doesn't help, it just makes you look like a liar and attention whore (no offense!).

Note that I only wrote that in an edit at the bottom of my post, copy/pasting from the thread under me. It's too bad that you think I'm an attention whore. But it's ok if that's the way you feel like you should threat your customers... And writing "no offense" after a very offending comment doesn't help much I think. No offense.

I downloaded the old client yesterday - didn't have time to try it yet.
But this is just a temporary fix, so I'm still here to help if needed for a more permanent fix.
Keep upo the goodwork and keep us updated.
HoN is a good game and I think most of your customers are very loyal,
we can wait until problems are fixed. They just need to be fixed at some point.

I just said it makes you look like this, I didn't say you are or that I think you are. In addition to that, you are not my customer. I am voluntarily helping people.

I appreciate your patience and I will definitely post updates about this issue as soon as I get them.

Fantastic, I downloaded this and now the program can't even recognize my account name/password.... So I can't even login anymore.

7 days and counting.

So, it's been almost two months and the problem still exists.

I tried everything I could while the company I bought the game from tried absolutely nothing. I love to be a good customer, but not a complete tool.

So I hope all people involved with S2Games die from rectum cancer in 2011.

That kind of language is unacceptable. Please create a new thread, after going through our Support wiki, with an up-to-date console.log, if you want advice. This is, assuming, you can keep your language in check.

Also, try completely reinstalling the game.
