Crashing every darn update

i have been crashing every single update. I would always have to uninstall and then reinstall it. But this update is a special case, because i have uninstalled and installed the game 10times and been crashing every single time. Is there a way to not crash...=l

Windows XP:
Intel(R) core(TM) i7 CPU
920 @ 2.67GHz
2.70 GHz, 3.00GB of Ram
Firewall disabled.

S2 Games is aware of the update issues and looking into it.

For now, you have to download the latest client and install it manually. If the latest client hasn't been uploaded so far, you have to download an old client ( http://www.gamershell.com/download_49590.shtml ) and update it.

If you are using XFire make sure to quit any instance of it before trying to update.
