Inventory System

I think it would be a cool idea, in this type of game, if the weapons, armour etc that the heroes equip would actually change their appearance as in most games with rpg elements. For example Gladiator would start with a helm, whip etc equipped which would eventually be replaced with a better weapon etc.

I'm just thinking of a more realistic inventory, how can someone use two shields along with a big axe, or wear 3 sets of armour like in Lol.

This isn't supposed to be a suggestion, just something I think would be an interesting thing to have in a Dota type game, who knows maybe Dota 2 will have a different system. Has this crossed anyone elses mind?

Certainly it would take a while to implement if you hadn't planned on it from the beginning; but creating a game with this as a desired element wouldn't be too farfetched.

Just because its not doable in HoN without a lot of work doesn't mean its not doable in another game of this genre without too much difficulty.
