Lag spike 1-2 seconds every 30-45 seconds

Hello,

I get a lag spike with the disconnected icon at the bottom left part of my game screen for about 1-2 seconds every 30-45 seconds.

This does not occur every game, but when it occurs it will occur all game long. When this problem was occuring I ping google.com -t in cmd window and no packet loss or connection problems showed.

What can I do about this, game is unplayable when in this state.

This problem does not occur with any other online game / application I use.

Please try these solutions before posting your thread, and let us know that you did. Disable your firewall, disable your antivirus, and configure your router to allow allow outgoing traffic on ports 80 (login/update), 11031 (chatserver) and 11235-11335 (game servers). If you don't know how to do this, try plugging directly into your modem with no router in between.

Network
Please post the details of your network as follows, are you on a home network, or a school network? What is your average ping for servers closest to you? What is your bandwidth (Downloading and uploading)? Do you use a proxy?

Console.log
The K2 engine keeps a log of the console. This is often very helpful in identifying your problem. Look under the following directory for your console.log:

Windows XP -C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\My Documents\Heroes of Newerth\game\.

Windows Vista/7 - C:\Users\[user]\Documents\Heroes of Newerth\game\.
